I'd just like to know what people think about America. I'm hoping to get the opinions of both people living in America itself and also the thoughts of those outside the U.S. Share your views on American culture and the government, and tell what you like or don't like about it. (:Also feel free to share info about your own life even if you don't live in the U.S:)
    Thanks

I like America (the USA, not to insult any Canadians, Mexicans, etc.). I think that as a nation we make bad policy decisions on all sorts of things, including environmental stuff and some foreign affairs stuff. But I think a lot of good things have come from America, including all sorts of technological advancements and an entirely different attitude towards working and striving for goals (The protestant work ethic).

Sometimes I dislike the elitist attitude that some Americans put on concerning the rest of the world and their cultures.

America was good, but turned into an over-publiciated hell hole with nothing but liars as presidents. our leaders are like hitler to me, in a different way then hitler himself was. nobody treats anybody with respect anymore. what ever happened to everyone having the right to their own oppinions? nobody here can truely be themselves without the status-quo police smashing you over the head and ridiculing you. all America is is a country built entierely on lies. the way people want to see you, and blocking out the truth to make themselves happy. and the things that people say about columbine and manson...

yes, those kids WERE f.*.c.k.ed. who cares? deal with it. maybe it was a long time ago but its not something that should easily be forgotten. or ignored. they DIED to tell america something- America ignored it and now violence is spiking.

Personally, I love America. I have nothing against other countries or anything like that. But I was born here, I grew up here, And I will raise my children here. America is a wonderful place. You can chose what you want to do. I mean woman can work they are not expected to depend on a man. Yes, there is a lot of violence here but isn't there violence everywhere? I do not believe are presidents are like Hitler though. Yeah, they are liers but at least there not telling us how to run are lifes. We have freedom to religion, sexuality, Etc.

Some things I do not like about America. The racism. I mean come on. Everyone is equal. Whats the big deal if they are white, hispanic, african american. If you were born here your an american. We are all equal. I also do have a problem with the border crisis going on. In some ways I'm for it and in some ways I'm against it. I do believe people should come here to find work and then go back home to there families I do not believe everyone should stay. I am in no way racist but there aren't enough jobs for everybody. I mean nowadays everything is being runned by computers.

This is just my opinion .

I have to agree with taylor. Look at whats going on in Iraq i Mean it's been 5 years. There is no need to have this war going on. I mean I understand going there in the first place you know they bombed the twin towers with innocent people in there but why is it still going on,

    !^I Love Being In Love^!,

the funny thing is that the people that attacked the twin towers are not the same people that the United States invaded.

We invaded a sovereign country against the United Nations laws just because we could.

Thousands of Iraqis and hundreds of our soldiers have died in this war. Billions of dollars are for the war, while our poor get poorer. Can't afford health care. Some elderly have to decide between medicine or food. The streets are littered with drugs.

He who controls the OIL controls the world.

This is the last Crusades. The end is coming.
    N. Korea stated "we made nuclear bombs because we know that one day we will have to defend ourselves against the evil empire The United States."
they have missles that can reach the easternboard already.
We scare nations into bulding weapons of mass destruction. One day we will scare them into starting an end of days war.

I personal like Canada. America as in Mexico/USA/Canada, alright. But I feel the USA is very selfish. Actually, I feel all America is selfish. Have you ever noticed that when someone wants something, ex.computer, little later they want something else. People are just never completely satisified. It sickings me....Anyways. Yeah, I dislike USA because the President, then the way they run things, always bombing something, then the health care is not right. Like, you can't help getting sick..anyways...i am stopping now. if i keep going I will get myself mad.

I love america. What I don't love is people in our country who hate america because it's the "in" thing to hate right now. People pretend to know what their talking about getting statistics off Fox news, But they dont. After 9/11 patriotism was really common, and I miss that. Now Bush is the same thing as our country, and it's not. You can hate Bush, like many do, but you can't say anything about americans in genral because you don't like their leader. Especially people from other countries who have only seen "Bush Starts War" and "America The most Obese Country" on the news. Plus do you really envy the presidents job? Seriously. You can't say he doesn't love his country and he has just made wrong choices. Just because he is not a good president doesn't mean he isn't a good man. I'm not saying america is perfect, It's far from it, but so is every country. Sorry for the rant.

America's okay. I don't like many of the ideas and things that go on here, but what can we change. I HATE Bush. I think he's a something that would offend small children. I hate the way he runs this country. He litterally makes me feel sick.

i think I'd rather live in America, but... I don't like it like I think I should.

I don't want to leave, it's one of the best systems in my opinion. We're not out of control enough that I would want to leave. It's a good place. I just don't like some of the things that are going on here.

    Sean Allen:
Afghanistan wasn't the only country The United States blamed and invaded. They invaded Iraq and got the people to sympathize with it by spreading false propaganda through their controlled media.

"Afghanistan wasn't the only country The United States blamed and invaded."

My post didn't deny that, yours just omitted the fact that we did happen to invade a nation that WAS harboring terrorists that were involved in the organization responsible.

And I don't have much love for our government anyway, so you're preaching to the choir with that link =)

It's fine. I like crossing swords on topics where I don't agree with the person that I'm debating with. We just didn't fit that category really.

What happened to the movie flight 98? lol
The Universal forum got bombarded by 9/11 Truth members. To many people were learning the "real" truth and they pulled the forum because it was effecting their ticket sales. Man we had a blast there.
They even sent undercover people to pose and protect their flawed version of the truth... They failed when they couldn't back up what they said, and were overwhelmed.

Heroes are dead. There is no one who dares stand up to the corrupted government. Money through contracts is King. Just ask Rupert Murdock and his FOX networks.
Martin Luther King Jr. was the last Hero of our times.

I think that America has negatives and positives.

As much as I can sit here and whine about stupid laws and how much I hate the war.

And I can praise America on how I'm free to learn, Someday have a job, get married, and dress how I want(all within acceptable clothes of course)

Sure I don't like the war. I don't think it should of happened. Sure I hate thinking that any one of those airplanes in the sky could drop a bomb or be hijacked. Since 9/11 I'm pretty much afraid of hearing planes.

But as much as I don't like any of that, I get a chance at a good life, and either I take minutes of that precious life to whine about everything, or I can take it to appreciate what I can do that unfortunately others cannot.
