vegemite?

We don't get vegemite here in the UK. The only time we did was in 1982 and it came with those Aussie Police soundalikes: Men At Work with that brill song 'Down Under' reaching NO1 in that same year.

I found anm Austrailian shop in London that sold Austrailian food. Including Vegemite. But I love Marmite. I have it on toats. And Wheat crackers. But it has to be with butter.

I'm not sure if I've had vegemite, but I do completely adore Marmite. Life without it would be terrible.

EDIT: I looked on the website, and I know I've seen that vegemite label in our house - so I definately have had it.

Okay lets all understand WHY chelsey doesnt like vegimite k? When I sent lil Miss Thang over some she was extremely excited and DIDNT read the instructions I sent over with it. So someone thinking it looked obviously like a yummy choccy product squeezed a big blob on her finger and put it straight in her mouth LMAO In all the excitement if she READ my instructions (because i knew she would do something like that) she would have read to have it sparingly on toast with plenty of butter....

the reason most people do not like vegemite is that they think they can paint it on in bulk like jam, peanut butter and other spreads... the taste is profound and to get the "right amount" simply paste as much vegemite as you would butter.

dont try wat many poms and yanks have done and open a new bottle, stick a knife in and dig out a wad of 'mite and slap it into your gob - you will soon realise your mistake if you do do that!
