Question on Poetic Preference?

Okay, I was wondering what people thought here. If you read someone else's poem do you like it best when they explain the symbolism and meaning to it, or when you are left to figure it out and use it for your own life too? Wow that was a long question, so let me know what you think.

I like both. I can't decide. Sometimes it's better when they explain the meaning in the poem for me. Otherwise it makes it hard to understand. But then some poems are great when they leave you wondering and thinking about it.

Yes, both types are nice. Usually a meaning makes it deeper, but sometimes the poem speaks for itself.

I usually like it when I'm left to figure it out, and if I can't then the person will explain. But I like to try to figure it out for myself first.
