I've been watching Henry regularly since he joined Arsenal way back when. My Dad is an Arsenal fan and as a Chelsea lad, we watch both games and then nit pick.

Henry is as about as honest as footballers get these days and I'vebut the the look on his face asCarvalho put his leg out went from determination to 'oh yes I've been told to go down in the box... how do I do it again? Oh! A penalty!'

Believe me, I wanted France to win after the shameful tactics by Portugal against England and it I am glad it was the penalty was given. Justice for all, mate.

I've just moved to Panama City, Florida and I'm getting into MLS and USL. Despite the system employed, MLS is not a bad league. USL is much better, lower level, more honest, hard and fair.

Shame about the commentary all round though.

HAHAHAHA. Angelina that is funny. I have been routing for Italy since the world cup began and I went to a neighborhood with all italians and all they spoke about was the world cup. They were on the beach just talking soccer. No I did not enter the conversation.

Brett is right. Every team tries to have the ref call penalties against the other team to put their own in an advantageous position. Everybody in sports does that. I watched the majority of games this year, with the exception of the early rounders that weren't important, and every team, especially those who made it down to the final eight, capotalized on a bad call by the refs. But that is sports. People shouldn't purposely dive, but if you put another person in the position to foul you, and knowing it will help you more than not getting fouled, by all means get fouled, which is exactly what some teams have done. It is the diving that is bogus; the portugese style diving where they just fly onto the ground without anyone touching them. Henry did a great job of giving his team the victory. he put himself in a position where the defender was about to foul him, the foul benefited France, so Henry took it. Could he have avoided it, probably, but all in all it was still a foul.
