Everyone's a winner

Hi everyone!

Here's my first contest. I'll accept 10 poems.

Rules:

1. The theme of the poem must be related to "fashion", anything about it. It can belong to any category (love, sadness, nature, life, friendship, family, etc.). Use your imagination!

2. I will choose the top 5 poems according to it's originality. It also has to be well written.

3. Just one poem per person.

4. As I already said, everyone's a winner, so everyone gets his/her poem r/r/c.

5. The top 5 poems, will receive kisses and hugs, my friendship, my love, my loyalty, and will be in my favorites for a month. This means I'll always r/r/c their new poems. And maybe they'll stay there forever.

ok, so i know this is a dumb question, but fashion meaning clothes right? or like fashion of doing something, or what?

It can be about clothes, but you can use the theme any way you want. Just be original.

Sweet Angel of Darkness

Ok Tell me if this is what you wanted

~The fashion industry~

All the Goths have their style
All the preps have their jackets.
All the nerds have their own thing
By that I mean suspenders and pocket protectors.
So what do I have?
Just ripped up jeans,
Clothes falling apart,
I am placed in a certain spot
On this high school scale of what is cool
And what is not.

Oh how I wish to be one of
The cool kids
Oh how I wish to be placed
Higher on the scale.
Separated from my lack of clothes
How I hate the fashion
That has grown.

I’m not cool
Because of my clothes
The girls say I am pretty
But that is not enough,
I sit at the lunch table
All by myself
I watch the Goths kids talk
As they are dressed in black
From head to toe.

The popular kids
Have expensive jeans
Their purses are outrages
I bet the cost more than just plain me.

I have just one thing to say
And mean it with all my heart,
Damn you kids and damn
The fashion industry.

Yeah, that's what I wanted.

Fate

I don't know how to explain
this feeling I have for you
Some would call it love
but I call it fate.
It started so well
and ended in tragedy
It's just another story of a girl
who fell a little to hard
for the wrong guy.
And got caught up
for something she thought was real
just like everyone else he let her down
and their love slowly faded away.
until he didn't know her anymore.

Another Game [Another Dead]

His journals scrawled on the devil's heart,
But he's the picture of perfection.
A girl's best 'friend'
But they see the outside reflection.

He puts a sl*t in his bedroom
Another w*ore on the kitchen tiles,
Slips off his wedding ring
For another round of smiles.

He's the bitter aftertaste,
The poison through your veins.
He's the one who'll take the innocent
To leave them in HIV chains.

This blonde hair blued eyed masterpiece
Whose lust is not rationale,
Buries women in their graves.
He's just deadly fashionable.

Diamonds and Pearls!

She cuts her writs with Diamonds,
Hangs herself with Pearls,
She can't stand to see them,
Softly crying behind the curls.

Waking up early to paint on
A smile, full of tears and lies, but
She can't hold on any longer,
To this facade she hides behind.

She cuts herself with Diamonds,
And hangs herself with pearls.
A slave to fashion, in this
Oh so very wretched world!

The saying oes diamonds are
A girls best friend, this is true
In this sad tale, but they served
Just one more purpose!

Cutting herself with Diamonds,
Hanging herself with pearls,
Dressing in the new trends,
Falling apart as she walks!

Ribbons and laces and pink satin too
Shoes in jewels of all color hues
Dances in dim light with a boy or two
In truth, I am nothing at all like you

Dreamy eyes and seductive lips
Late night parties of swinging hips
No, I'm not that easily tempted to show
My affection to someone I don't know

I'm not that kind of girl at all
My goals, unlike yours, are set far
I work to achieve my dreams at all cost
I am not ready for my heart to be lost

You may be flirty in your little pink dress
But I know inside your life will be a mess
You don't know why I do what I do
You don't know why I'm cold to someone new

I may be girl, liking "stuff" once in a while
But I don't need a man, or shoes to make me smile
I'm not a wannabe, neither looking for boys
That just isn't my way of finding my joys

I'm not that kind of girl at all
It is to the future that I call
You may whisper, they may lure
But in the end, I'm not that girl

Does it have to be new? and im kinda asking for other people.. lol. idont have an old or new poem for that matter relatin to fashion... maybe i'll write one. =]

Any Ideas?

It's sad really, how
kids are running around like robots
buying all this and that
spending over 100 bucks
for the 'stylish new hat'

It's sad really, how
being a clone seems to be the trend
that's lasted for all of time
follow the leader, forget your true self,
dont you dare step out of line

It's sad really, how
girls' outfits seem to be shrinking,
for all the guys to drool
and all those popular, rich b**ches
seem to be ruling the schools

It's sad really, how
All because of their daddy's money ,
these girls get to be the 'best'?
to pick who's worth the time of day
and to torment the rest.

It's sad really, how
no one can show their true colors,
instead they 'have' to 'have' that sweater,
from abercrombie and finch
and they dont even know any better.

It's sad really, how
i seem to be the only real person,
the only one who seems to realize
how every trendy b!tch is f**cking fake,
and how MTV's telling everyone stupid lies .

Model Behavior

A year ago I wished you dead
Now we're like best friends
The gothic one woke up to find herself
in a fairytale
She follows the behavior
of the models covering her walls
She says she follows my example
Innocent by association
She's like my little sister
Leave her with those magazines
that sell such pretty lies
Would we still be friends if you weren't so nice?

It’s not a crime

It’s just a simple thing
Not a trend, not a life, not big deal
But for others has a lot of mean
Pretty shoes with high pink heels

Was it written in a book?
It’s weird but I have to admit
Only matters the way you look
Expensive cloth and the perfect fit

Pink, white, blue, green
What color should I wear today?
I just want to feel like a queen
That’s what the skinny girl said

Magazines and TV shows
Thin models with designer clothes
Fashion rules in the world we know
Bright pieces that seem to glow

It’s just a matter of time
But there’s a thing I can’t deny
Loving fashion is not a crime
But is getting so fuckin high
