Cell Phone Splashed With Water.

Ok ok. My cell phone was splashed with water while my mom and I were on the river. Now it is not working. How do i fix it!!!!!!!! Help please. I miss my dear ole friend. =D

See if you can let it dry and then try again. I'm not sure if it will work again tho. If not, it means you'll have to buy a new friend!! Good luck!

If you know how to take it apart, do so, and dry it with a hair-dryer, then put it back together again.
Asking the cellphone company for help is a good idea, too.

It should be ok, my mum accidentally put hers in the washing machine for the full cycle thingy, she just dried it out and it works fine!

haha that happened to my cell phone... except.. it splashed with water while i was in the shower.. cuz you know... i listen to the mp3s when i'm in there... haha it wouldn't work and the buttons were all weirded out... i tried drying it with a hair blower... but.. i got impatient. ^_^ so... i banged the hell out of it... lmao it worked perfectly. ^_^ haha but don't try it at home... i strongly advise you not to do that. :)

haha one night i was drunk and i dropped mine in the toilet...lol yeahhh my friend held a blow dryer to it for an hour and well it didnt work...you could try to do that and like try to dry it out but if it doesnt work take it bak where you got it and they will fix it for you... =D

Guhhh I did that not to long ago..I just took the battery out like everyone said and let it dry if its not t badly wet...if it is maybe your local cell phone place can fix it or you might have to get a new one...

man i lost 2 cells to the water went swimming with one in my pocket, a guy spilt my drink on my other one

Want to know all about my day yesterday? All right. He goes.

My mom asked me if I wanted to go out on the river yesterday morning. She told me that she would take out the boat and I could take out the Jet Ski. So we got ready and everything and we left.

When we arived at the marina, we noticed that my Jet Ski had almost fully sunk. So my mom swam it over to the ramp and we pulled it onto the trailor. It is now broken and will not start.

Then, when we were getting ready to go out on the boat, my mom had me throw her shorts in the boat. Little did we know, her credit card was in her pocket. The credit card fell under the the top surface of the dock and above the botton metal piece. So we had to get in the water to fish that out.

Then we went out on the river and decided that we wanted to go eat. So we had to go through the locks in New Cumberland. We also did not realize that the pump on the boat sucked up a piece of plastic. So after we got through the locks we drove about 300 feet. Then my mom noticed that white smoke was coming out around the motor.

I was freaking out. I thought we were going to die. I thought the boat was going to explode. I almost start bawling and my mom is yelling for me to put on a life jacket and for me to get her one. Then she wanted me to move the gasoline jugs to the front of the boat.

I wouldn't move after I put on my life jacket. I stood at the VERY front of the boat. Say if there was a wave, I would have flew off.

Some guy on a Jet Ski comes over because he saw the smoke so he started to throw water into the boat to stop the smoke and everything. Well, my cell phone was sitting near the back of the boat drowning in water. (Poor friend). Atleast the smoke slowed down.

Then, a whole bunch of people surrounded us and they all said "Your boat on fire?" My mom just sort of laughed and said "NOOO. Everything is ok. We were just smoking POT over here!"

Well, after all of this, we were towed to the nearest marina. We still went and ate. But now my phone says that i don't have service ANYWHERE!! >:*(

My day was wonderful. :)

Wow That Was a Day!....But Like Suggested Previously Hun, Tell Your Phone Company And See If They'll Let You Trade Off For Another Cell Phone...Not Many Cells Survive Water Damge Unless They Were Made To *Good Luck*
