Who hates it when...

People on here randomly think it's fun to vote peoples poems low, with no explantion or comment and just do it anyway? *Raises her hand* I DO!!

i only tend to comment on poems i really enjoy reading and they all get either a 4 or 5 from me

I will only vote and comment on ones that I like...if I would give lower than a 4 then I don't vote or comment. Voting low just because is just plain wrong and not really funny but people do it and will do it no matter what anyone else thinks

I had all five top rated poems of mine on my featureds and I came nad looked and someone had voted to lower them all down to 4.5's I was utterly confused..

Yeah. I was really upset. luckily I have alot of friends whom saw and voted them. So I am slightly happy I guess, but I found it rather rude for someoen to go and do such a thing.

it is very rude, and the sad thing is there is nothing you can do about it...it is just like if someone doesn't like you cause of something you write or something you say they can take it out on your poems by voting low but there is nothing you can do ya know

Yeah, hence why I try not getting people on my bad side on here. I don't want my poems to suffer due to there childish behavior.

that is one way to handle it but ya know...whether you do anything or not there are still the ones who just click and go for no reason...
I look at it as...I put my poems on here you like it great and not that is fine too...I write them to express my feelings and opinions so as long as I am ok with them then no matter what others think it will not bother me, I mean when I write my poems for someone then it matters what that person feels and thinks but anybody else it is there opinions ya know ;) My poems will never suffer from anyone unless it is put down by the one it is directed to cause those poems have true deep meanings and what the person I write it for thinks is very important to me

Yeah, I cold careless what anyones thinks aswell. I love my poems and honestly if you don't it's your problem is how I see it. :]

I sure do! I get so annoyed sometimes. But then I think, whatever, my poetry is good in my eyes and to me that's what matters.

One of my poems have over 40 votes and a 5.0 rating, and I sign on one day and find that I got a 4.5, i believe it was. Now it's been rated more and I'm at a 4.9, so its all good. But just the thought that someone decided to downvote it, made me ticked.

f others downvote that's their problem. You know that if a majority of your comments state you have a great poem here, then the voting should matter as much. I do get pissed off at the fact other's try and downvote poems just so that they can make your's seem better. It's not right. Give a poem the rate it deserves.

No. They at least gave there honest oppions along with comments on my poems with there votes. So it really doesn't matter. How would you feel if you had good poems and come on to find them all downvoted to like 3's or something? No offence but I would like to be able to get my poets award, you do need at least a 4.6 and right now I don't have that I don't think, I may be far off from my Platinum award but I don't see people stopping downvoting poems. And until they do I am glad my friends care enough to take time off and go leave honest comments and vote on my poems. Thank you very much.

Yeah, I agree Angie. I don't even down vote, I barely have the heart to give someone a four, I don't know why I just can't do it. Not even if they gave me a one. I'd be mad though. And wonder why they can't just be grown up and do something other then downvoting to be childish and pathetic. To bad the site couldn't somehow sort out the people who downvote to get laughs. Haha My imagination is wild. :]

And Kristen, and didn't really want people to be fighting and I don't find what you said to be to offensive or rude, but I don't think it was needed. I asked a question, didn't ask to get judged and have stuff said about my friends voting dishonestly, cause they vote honestly. I've had my friends give me 3's before. Mad, yes. But I can understand. I'm not too bothered about votes.. as long as when people do vote for them they give what they believe is right, it doesn't matter.. when I go into my poems, i rarely take much notice of the votes.. it's the comments I look for.. that's not to say I don't want people to vote tho lol xx

I don't know why it matters so much to you anyway. What do they mean at the end of the day? Absolutely nothing.

I personally vote at a 3 at a lowest. If it's worse than that, I won't vote at all. I think a lot of poems on this site should be a 3 (if we take 3 to mean average), because that's all most of them are (and yes, I am including mine in this). I would vote lower, but a lot of people can't take critism at all. It's easier to just not vote instead of getting into a silly arguement.

Hmm. Maybe to you two it's not important but to me it is. So we have our oppinions and I honestly don't care. I only care what I think of my poems and my friends. Everyone elses oppions and tips about my poems don't phase me. I was just stating that it's not right that people who most likely to the worst downvoting don't even read them but vote ones or twos cause they get a laugh off of it.

And I usually do what the tip says, cause I know I can be pigheaded at times. So I stop being prud, and stuborn and listen. :]
