Lock Out

They any of you heard of a lock out policy.
Well at my class its inforced. Basicly if you are late to class you go to ISS. Even if you are at the room when the bell rings, and even if you get to school late. But, its ok if the bus is late. You stay in ISS for the whole class period. I think its stupid because making kids miss classes that they need to pass.

At my school if you're late twice to class you're suspended. I was late once *Mind you it was my third day at the school!* and because my teacher who had the dooropened said I didn't run fast enough but no ignore the fact that my backpack was filled with heavy books I had gotten that morning that it hurt to stand never mind run.

In my school if you are late for a certain class for 5 times then you just get sent to the principal's office to explain, but nto all of the teacher's abide by it so hardly anyone goes to the office.

We also have a "Lock out" system where if a person on drugs or armed with a gun or something dangerous like that, all the students have to stay i nthe classrooms and line up against the wall as their teacher locks the door.

Well people just don't want to listen to why students are late

Well I'm knid of small for my age and hard for me to get though the halls without getting knocked down. But, I do make it to class on time the only reason I was late was because my sister lost her li. and my dad wouldn't let her ride with out it. She found it in about a hour so we got there and had to be in ISS together.

Ugh...i had Lock Out at my old school...it was terrible!!!

Usually I RUN to my classes because I'm AFRAID of being late, but my last school was like an outdoor mall in Florida!! IT WAS HUGE!!!!!! And i had to run like a mile (a little exaggeration) to get to my 7th period class...

so I got lock out a couple times.

And the only cool part about Lock Out anyways is that I ditched my 7th period class once every semester...of course, 1 Lock Out meant that I couldn't exempt a final exam, but it didn't really bug me because I was expecting to take one anyways.

So, as annoying as it is, it does have its perks! =)

I hate that!!! We do that all the time at my school...all they are trying to do is make you "learn" your lesson for being late..well we aren't "learning" anything if we sit in ISS for the whole class!

my school just started that for he beginning of the school year but some teachers don't care. Its stupid if ur late b/c of traffic and then when u get to school u have to go to lock out and they give u a whole bunch of classwork to do and if ur going to take a test that same day for that class u have to gt a zero on it.
