and her husband was so devastated that he cried for years. Ten
years after he stopped crying, he died. If he had lived to be 80,
how many years was he a widower?

Well what Jess said makes sense.. but it didn't say how many years he was crying for.. it just said ten years after he stopped crying he died. So you don't actually know how many years he was crying for. What's the answer?

I agree with Jess.. if he was to die at 80 it would be 25 years a widower.. unless he remarried which is why he stopped crying, then would that make him an ex widower?

Jess is right. She didn't say after he cried how long was he a widower. She just says "how long was he a widower?" So his wife died at age 50, making him 55. If he died age 80, he was a widower for 25 years.

that isnt possible. what if he only cried for three years??? you dont tell how many years he cried... so if he only cried for three years he would be... um... 58!!! then ten years later he died and he was 68. i dont get it...
