Just curious as to how many of you know what it is??

Wednesday on the 27th I believe it is...Most every school in America (at least public schools I think) gather around their flagpole at a specific time in the morning and pray. We do ours for an hour but we just pray for America as a group, then for whatever else it is we have on our mind...other schools might do it differently though.
I didn't know it was a national event , I thought it was just my city.
Curious as to what other schools are doing this?

my school does that! It's in Canada as well as America. I haven't been to one yet, evne though I planned to, cause I either never heard about it or I slept in :/ But I'm definately going this year!

Thats awesome! I always forget Canada is not part of America..that sounds really stupid but I do always forget that, yes I did know though that they do it up there too!!

I'm happy your going...I've never been to one either, but lately I've become more spiritual and more into prayer that I've decided to get up at 6 and pray with those students who choose to!
    Hope you go!! :-)

Sweet! It's good that you're choosing to do that. I kind of find it hard to pray sometimes, but that's just because I'm lazy and I can't focus on one thing for more than 5 minutes =)
If you ever need anybody to talk to, drop me a line!! :D

My church had a big youth rally for it and we had like 40 other churches come to ours and a band called Three Days Then came then on Wednesday I got to school and it was only me, my best friend, and 4 other teachers, but God's presence was still there!!

I didn't get there early enough, and there are barely any christians at my school. The number of people has gathered around it has decreased over the years. One year there were maybe 60 or 70, then last year there were only 6. This year, probably even less. I really hope it changes..

THAT'S why they were getting free donnuts... People were going outside, praying, and coming back with donnuts at school, I suppose they were doing this... I didn't get outside in time, I had to go to class instead.
