Working on a poem for the title. "Golden Key"

Golden Key - By Megan

Pale mummified lips pressed together too tight.
Distracting you from the rights and wrongs.
Bound with the chains, that lock life forever.
With the golden key only then shall you be free.

Pale nimble hands interlocked ready to fight.
Opposing your opinions of what's wrong from right.
Here you hold a book of lies locked front to back.
With the golden key only then shall you be free.

Faith has it out for you only it can decide.
It's not easy saying who lives and who dies.
Silver cuffs decrease your will to be moved.
With the golden key only then shall you be free.

Choose your life long path on the road of failure.
Pick life from death, or what's right from wrong.
Follow those steps you will receive one golden key.
And only then shall you be free.

Broken Mirror

Does she look good?
Does she look bad?
Does she look like a beautiful woman?
Or an old dirty hag.
Does she stand out?
Does she brightly shine?
Can she belong to someone else?
Or is she all mine.
Can she walk in public without feeling ashamed?
Can she just be happy instead of feeling she's the one to blame?
Can she walk with her back straight?
And her head held high.
Can she not be disappointed with every cute boy that walks by.
Can she be successful?
Can she feel superb?
Can she walk into a room full of people and know what they think of her?
What if she was taller?
What if she had gold teeth?
What if she had pretty pink nails matching her pretty pink feet.
What if she pierced her tongue?
What if she pierced her nose?
What if she pierced her stomach and let all her cleavage show?
What if she was skinny?
What if she was a different complexion?
What if she had someone who showed her love and affection.
And while she's standing there with tears rolling down her eyes.
Not knowing whether she's going to have a great, successful , or horrible life.
And while I'm saying these things I just have to make that exception.
Because the person I'm talking about is my own reflection.

Consume every part of you, giving no rest.

Breathe...
I keep saying, time will heal my heart
But for now, broken pieces are falling apart.

The anguish of heartache is all that I see
Knowing it only hurts when I breathe.

Look at the little pig
it just wants what everyone has
it moves so slow
and gets so mad
when it can't get what it wants
it is just too willful
it loves so many

but what can you expect
with the seven deadly sins

Standing at her throne, she bows her head in disgrace,
Looking down upon a blackened beating heart,
Salty crimson silently streams down her quivering face,
Slowly lifting the sword, tearing her battered soul apart.

Lust burns a fiery ecstasy in her eyes of stone,
Standing alone with sweat beading on her brows,
Still bearing the musky aroma of his cologne,
She takes a step down and gracefully bows.

Fishnet stockings and a short black skirt,
High-heeled boots along with red lip stick,
Crimson finger nails and a ripped up shirt,
With black eyeliner coated on thick.

A foggy mirror cracked down the middle with deceit,
As she looks upon her porcelain face tainted with lies,
An empty bottle of strawberry wine spilled among her sheets,
As she traces her ivory fingers up and down her thighs.

Her heart is shattered as she falls for the pawn,
Standing in his yard, under the giant oak tree,
The Queen of hearts is now long forgone,
Crying, as she looks upon the women she dreams to be.

Hardened thoughts of disintegration, behind those evil eyes,

In our eyes so effulgent are glassed mirrors, reflection
Stories behind evil eyes conducted by an effortless string.
Behind evil eyes lies doormat a story you'll never see;
One begs to picture, imagine, so quickly criticize,
Behind evil eyes is a soul and heart full of believing.

Sacred Place

Orchids drenched in silver mist
Sprinkled upon the forgotten land
A sacred place; thought nought to exist
Unveil in my dreams in a single strand

Man's first touch was borne right here
Serving its creator by playing dumb
Preserving nature year after year
Never wondering where he was from

Trees tinted in gold dripping mirth
Ponds thriving with sapphire hues
Tranquility poured upon the Earth
A playground to the great god's muse

Evil was chained and kept far away
Till the voice of a woman opened the gate
Ancient pink roses wither and decay
As history crumbles what once was great

Small saplings break through and await
Falling walls as a sign of untamed fate
