Terra's Never Ending Contest

This is completly opposite from what i usually do..

in this contest you can leave one poem per work week (monday through Friday) and one poem per weekend (sunday and saturday)

I will comment on some of my favorite poems. on the users page. after i read them.

If you wish to comment on some ones poem that is on here have at 'er.

if you wish to critsize... make it good critisism to help the poet become a beter writer.

There is only one rule on this contest
Do not over use profanity... 1 profanitc word per 4 stanzas. ... or even less :D

Yesterday's Gone
Finally I had someone, and we were together.
Happy, so I thought, we were birds of a feather.
However, things changed quick, we were through,
The next week together, you said, " love you".

We were together another week or so,
Went to homecoming, but the future I did know.
The following day you said it's through again,
But we'd be sure to just be "just friends"

Yesterday's gone, no more holding hands,
No more kissing in the football stands.
All that's over, alone I am for now,
But I'll find someone new anyhow.

I grit my teeth, and held back the tears,
Though loneliness is one of my fears.
A few days I was sad, didn't want to go out,
I cried a lot, never smiled, constant pout.

After 3 days though, I can smile and say,
You weren't a good boyfriend anyway.
You barely called, and ignored me when with friends,
So my "friend" this is where our story ends.

Everything happens for a reason, as they say,
I guess the lesson I learned will find me someday.
You were just a boy, and it was just a fling,
Though not to me, I was just your plaything.

But yesterday's gone, no more moping about,
No need to cry, no need to always pout.
I've moved on, I'm too strong to cry,
I'll find better, and you'll wonder why-

You let someone as good as me get away...

As will I..

Purple Lips Upon A Wedding Corpse

Purple lips upon a wedding corpse,
Tears rush down a polished face,
The curse of love is ever near,
Elegance of trust, sweet as lace.

Leaning down with silver prayers,
Whispering of a fantasy lost,
Speaking to an admirer of affection,
Over our lips of purple, simply glossed.

A distorted love so pressious, so valued,
Kissing remains to what wastes away,
A final look, falling swiftly apart,
You must let go of her purple lips by the wedding day.

Heavenly Father Above.
Whats this thing called love?
Please explain to me, these things i cannot bare..

How can i feel this way,
Like i can't make it through the day.
If you're there why can't you seem to help?

They say you made us all
But Then Why have you made us fall
How could you do this to those you say you love?

So heavenly father above,
Show me this thing called love,
For i have never felt this emotion before..

Are you who they say?
Are you able, to change my fate?
can you alter what i was 'destined' to be?

Take me away from here,
Help my thoughts to clear,
That is only if you truly are what they say.

Please!
Show me...
the truth..
i can't stand,
not knowing what to believe..

Please!

what is real..
i must know
if you are what i perceive you to be......

This decision, must me made,
will you help me through the day?
or will instead you turn the other cheek?

any comments or advice would be great. this is the first poem about religion or god or whatever ive written.. it follows the tune of a song.. but i like it..

Desires

Dreams and reality collides,
Hope and faith survives.
Desires and fate entangles,
Lust and love entwines.
Vision and goals coincide,

There are so many things in life that are out of our control. So many things we desire, yet will not pocess.

I will read these in the next few hours.. right now i am trying to finish this play i have to write for drama.

Fuck their reasons!
For hurting us!
They questioned our lives!
Now we destroy their trust!

Freedom VS. capitivity

Freedom is the greatest
running wild and free
doing wild things at the latest

captivity is a blast
someone to keep you happy with glee
the wild can push by fast

freedom is grand
growling, swimming in the sea
then roaming all the land

it can give you a lot of glee
but I have to sleep inside at night
