If you got a voice....it don't matter what you sing...I could listen to someone with a good voice sing me the newspaper and I'd enjoy it

choose something that means something to you
if you've got a good voice and you like the song your singing, then the audience will love it too

I've sung infront of an audience many times, and one thing I can tell you is don't sing anything you're unsure of. Whether it be the lyrics you're unsure of, the voice that you make during certain parts of the song, how much strength you have to use to hit certain notes... Sing something that is right up your alley, something you can do without thinking or practicing too hard... Aswell as following the above poster's advice (I'm sorry I forgot who wrote it and don't have time to let the pages reload - my dial up is super slow) pick something that means alot to you. When you can put some of yourself into a performence you generally get better reaction, and people love it. Good luck with whatever you do. :)

just sing something you can relate to because if you can relate to it you'll convey the emotion of the song well...it doesn't matter what type it is as long as you sound good singing it...if you do people will love you.

well, just sing something that youre comfortable singing and that you can really relate to. believe me, an audience can tell if your heart and soul arent in it. good luck!

make sure its a song you know really well, that way if the nerves take over you will be more likely to remember the words and tune and etc. Its always different in front of people, good luck.
