Pretty interesting isn't it? Makes a person think before judging someone.
Never be afraid to try something new.

    Remember:
Amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic.

Can you imagine working for a company that has a little more than 500
employees and has the following statistics:
    * 29 have been accused of spousal abuse
    * 7 have been arrested for fraud
    * 19 have been accused of writing bad checks
    * 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
    * 3 have done time for assault
    * 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
    * 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges!
    * 8 have been arrested for shoplifting
    * 21 are currently defendants in lawsuits
    * 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year Can you guess
    which organization this is?

    Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of
idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the
    rest of us in line.

I got this from an e-mail. Interesting, no?

No offense, Matthew, but at least some of the alleged facts are wrong, which is not unusual with all the stuff that circulates over the net. Also in the case of Beethoven, the use of an 18th century example may not be relevant to establish a position relating to 21st century conditions.

Beethoven was not born to a woman who already had 8 kids. He was the third child of his mother, Maria Magdalena. Her first two children had both died during infancy. After Beethoven she bore five more children but only two survived beyond the first few years of life. These circumstances, sad as they are, were really not unusual for that time. This was an era when hygiene and medical science were still very primitive. Infant and child mortality were extremely high when compared to modern standards. Surviving children were frequently afflicted with serious health problems.

Beethoven himself suffered from deafness in adulthood, but there is no evidence indicating that his siblings were deaf, blind, or mentally retarded. There is also nothing to substantiate that Beethoven's mother had syphilis, for which there would have been no treatment or cure then. What is known is that she died from “consumption,” the term then used to describe tuberculosis.

Selective facts can be used to make just about anyone look good or bad. And facts taken out of context can be more misleading than no facts at all. Hitler adopted a vegetarian diet during the latter part of his life because he suffered from gastric problems, not because of any moral considerations. Hitler is known to have had affairs with several different women, some of whom died under mysterious circumstances. The reason these were not technically "extramarital" affairs was because he wasn't married. Hitler married his last mistress, Eve Braun, just hours before they both committed suicide.
