Interracial love....

I think it's such a beautiful thing. All love is, but wow, too see unity between two different people just warms the heart. I'm proud to say I'm the result of it. What is your opinion on this?
(BTW I have a poem dealing with interracial love called "Perfect Opposites" So check it out if ya wanna!)

Yes...Interracial love is beautiful...I'm in an interracial relationship and I love it. I was raised around people of a different race and there is nothing wrong with dating someone thats different then you...Ill have to check that poem out!

:) I totally agree with both of you :) Interracial love is great. There are so many around me its just a normal thing :)

I was raised in a racist family, but I think that if you can bring two people from different worlds, together....then it is beautiful.

It's great...well, I have never been in a such situation myself, but I have absolutely nothing against it.

I really do believe that if two people really love each other then nothing, including a thing such as race, coming from two different worlds, will stand in the way.

I remember in 9th grade...my mom got mad b/c i told her I had a friend coming over, but I didn't tell her who. It was one of my african american friends. She was not happy. O well tho...that's their choice...and this is mine!!!

That's really sad because your friend probably had no *logical* reason to be disliked :(

I know she was great...my parents always told me "you can be friends with them, just dont bring them to the house"

That always hurt me, b/c most of my friends were of a different race. I sure am glad I got my own house now!

Interracial love embraces multiculturalism and goes to show that love is based on who you are, not what you are. :)

in my country(india) families are very conservative and interracial love is considered quite a taboo...especially if its a hindu-muslim relationship...but i think love sees no bounds...i have no problem with it i think its great too..my cousin married a muslim and im happy for them...

I hate, so much, to see countries divided by race. I think that we can all overcome any beliefs about this that our friends/family has bestowed upon us. Love comes by chance...not by choice, and if you love someone who is different from you...then I dont see a problem. If two people of the same sex can be legally wed, (for those of you who are unaware...this law has been passed in the state of California, USA) then why is it so hard for two ppl of a different race to walk down the street together. I find racism to be completely dishonoring and an insult to me as well as other ppl.

Okay, I'll be a bit more serious and mature now. I was in a interracial love not very long ago, and it was great, it end due to personality difference not skin color :)

I don't think it's more beautiful than any other kind of love. i mean, love is love, right? It's all good. Interracial, Heterosexual, Homosexual, it's all in the same catagory, love rocks.

I agree with all of you here, and I think this post is great. I am so glad I was raised in a non-racist household. I know of so many interracial couples and marriages. An old teacher of mine is in an interracial marriage. He was on Doctor Phil about interracial marriages. The class I was in and some other classes stopped class just to watch the episode. I was very happy we did so. I myself had an interracial relationship. It ended, not because of race, but distance. And yes, love rocks and all love is a beautiful thing.

Now to respond to your question....

From a superficial angle, I think some of the most beautiful/handsome people I've seen are a mix of cultures.

From a more philosophical side, I feel that a mix of cultures lends itself to an expanded understanding of humanity in general, especially when the child learns two or more languages. Let's face it... there's something enlightening about learning other languages, and consequently other cultures' manners of thinking.

So there... there's my 2 cents.
