Gay - This simply means a male and male are having sexual relations.
Lesbian- This simply means a female and female are having sexual relations.

    And just in case:
Bi - Where you had sexual relations with both sexes (male and female).
    And my favorite:
Homosexual - The act of having sexual relations the same sex.

I hope that clears things up for you!
    Cheers!

Thank you. I wasn't sure if I was allowed to post 'sexual relations' without getting in trouble. Thanks for clearing that up. =]

Being a lesbian means different things for different people. For me it’s talking, holding hands, walking with, hugging, squeezing, laughing, crying with spending my time with someone I find special.

It’s not just a sexual thing. Growing up having sexual relation’s with guys just because you want to fit in and be accepted. All the time feeling so uncomfortable around them and dreaming of someone at school just because she looked at you in a certain way.

Wanting to scream out loud but feeling so tense that not even a murmur can utter from your throat. Feeling embarrassed by mainstream lesbianism while envious of them for being visual and real.

Walking past two school girls walking together holding hands and not a care for what others think All the time feeling so alone, feeling so inadequate just feelings that hurt. But doesn’t everyone have their own versions of love and life to cope with.

We don’t put signs on other people who have different preference for falling in love.

Depressian because she likes Goths or emo’s.

Vertigo Sexual because she likes tall men

Hippyphile because that man prefers girls with child bearing hips

Mono Sexual because that guy only loves himself

    Blondyke because he likes blondes

In the end what does being Heterosexual or homosexual have to do with anything?

Being a lesbian means that you prefer female above male, in a relationship. This relationship doesn’t have to include sex; it can just be kissing, hugging etc. If you’re a lesbian then you’re attracted by females and not by males. If you’re gay it’s the same, but then with man.

If you’re hetero and you’ve had sex with the same gender doesn’t mean that you’re homosexual because you do not have those feelings for them. Just having sex doesn’t change your preference.

^is it just me or is sex mentioned in every definition......hmmmmm

    I'm sorry but my dictionary ( Dutch) says;
That you don't have to have sex with the same gender. It says that, if you're attracted by the same gender you're homosexual, and you can have sex. But its not necessary.

I mean you can be homosexual at the age of twelve but you don't have sex at that age, right?

Homosexual: Being attracted to the same sex exclusively

Hetrosexual: Being attracted to the opposite sex exclusively

My question to Adel is: Why ask this question and to what purpose do you mean to use the information we give you

The dictionary definitions are related to procreation hence sex.

But sex is such a small part of a relationship, So all this arguement over the definition isn't really relevant to me. I would perfer the dictionary to say.

Lesbian: Has a preference for females within a relationship.

Bi - Where you had sexual relations with both sexes (male and female).
