Egg Drop

Okay in my Physics class our teacher is giving us a lab and making it a competition. The lab is called Egg Drop and it has to do with Momentum.

We get a few different supplies and we have to design something within the next day or two that will stop the egg from breaking. And the team that makes it through all the rounds wins.

Our supplies are 2 paper clips, 1 poster board, 1/2 a meter stick of duct tape and a styra foam plate. We can't hard boil the egg and it has to be a free standing design.

Our group still doesn't have a design, so I wanted to know if someone had any ideas, because we really have no idea what we're doing and we have to have it done by tomorrow.

Is that all the supplies you get?????????

Yep that was all we got.
I think that's how our group did it.
And it didn't break, which was good.
Actually I was hoping it would when we dropped it off the stairs because one of the people in our group got a little too attached to the egg (don't ask).

I had to do something similar 2 years ago, but we were allowed to use whatever materials we wanted as long as we brought them in ourselfs. We were paired in partners of 2 and we had a week (not during class time) to work on it. Most of the eggs survived...(like mine) but it was funny to watch the ones that didn't.

That's what I wish our teacher let us do, it would've been a lot more fun.
But today we dropped them off the bleachers and the guy in our group almost hit my friend on the head with our egg. It would've hit her if she didn't move, it was really funny.

ohh....i made this last year for my 5th grade science project! but those supplies r not a lot.....just listen to bob shank....he knows

ha!i did that in Gr,8 it was kinda fun

I did this project. It's a real kick in the head but absoluetely veryyy fun!

...And Bob got the idea right.
