My band set to release our first album

Curtis Putnam here from Modern Day Cowboy. January 3rd is the realease day for our first album entitled "Concrete Jungle" We wanted to put all 18 tracks on but only 12 made it on the record. we are very thankful for all the support we got from our Missouri, Illinois and ever a few south carolina fans. Hopefully we were able to get all favorite songs by us on the album. heres the song list

in case your curious how we came up with the songs well here it is

Concrete Jungle was written in South Carolina while i was on vacation. Even though it is one of our best songs, i wrote the music in only 10 minutes and the lyrics in 20. It was just one of those songs that came to me.

Radio Pollution was written during a practice session. Lead Vocalist and guitarist Robbie Matsko wrote this riff and kept playing it over and over. it sounded very catchy so i saw what notes he was playing an di started playing it on the bass, soon after ricky picked it up on the drums and the rest is history. it is the only song where all of us contributed.

Restless Nights was about me being away from my fionce while we were out of town doing shows in Illinois.

Broken Home was my first ever bass solo and am very pleased with how it turned out. the lyrics are about the abusive home i grew up in.

Try so Hard was about the death of my father

Nobodys Fool was one of the first songs i ever wrote, its just about getting out of a bad relationship.

Renegade is how my mother would rathere be an alchoholic then be a good mother

Take me Away was written while i was working at Quik Trip, i looked outside and saw how cloudy it was and suddenly i got all depressed. the lyrics just came to me in minutes and i wrote the music for it when i got home

Forevor is probably the song lyrically i have ever written. although its about being in love with someone it actually isnt about anyone. i was just writing what i thought girls would like to hear and this song was born. its our only song to contain a piano.

Dying to Live was written after robbies cousin was killed in Iraq, its definitely anti war

The unforgiven is a cover song by metallica. its always been one of my favorite songs and am so glad at least one of the cover songs we recorded made it on here.

Push the limit to the edge is just about persuing your dreams no matter how crazy they are.

my beloved my despair was the first song lyrically i ever wrote but took me two years to finish the music. i wrote it immediately after a girl i truly loved told me were just no good together. i never talked to her again

Who signed you, when will it be released and will it be local or national?

The guy at Magic Records said the album will be released only in areas that showed interest in our band. so basically missouri and western illinois
