"I have a picture, pinned to my wall,
An image of you and of me and we're laughing
    and loving it all...

Look at our life now, tattered and torn
We fuss and we fight and delight in the tears
    that we cry until dawn..."

:) Why is it that so many old-ish (dont wanna offend anyone) music seems to relate to what I'm feeling soooo much more than music in my generation? I mean, ok we have some pretty good muisc now but, I just love the songs from previous generations!!!

Like, what the hell is : "I keep wishing your strawberry kisses will fly through the wind to you from me"
It doesn't even make sense YOUR kisses to YOU from ME??? What? LOL. I prob just have it wrong but still...

Sorry if anyone likes that song but... yeah.

Anyone else have any fav old songs?

Just a guess but maybe we tend to associate earlier music with a time when the world seemed simpler, problems seemed less complex and life seemed less stressful.

Here are lyrics from my pick for an old song ...

It's the heart afraid of breaking
    That never learns to dance.
It's the dream afraid of waking
    That never takes the chance.
It's the one who won't be taken
    Who cannot seem to give,
And the soul afraid of dying
    That never learns to live.
