Are wars human nature

Iraq is such a grey area when you look at all the complications that contribute to the mess that exists there. We had all the rubbish about weapons of mass destruction and the freedom of the Iraqis. Bush might as well be a Muppet for al the credibility his speeches hold. Wars have only ever been fought over greed and getting some sort of strategic advantage for the future. Maybe its human nature but we prefer not to trust our neighbours, we like to take control our own destinies.

Yes Saddam was a cruel and terrible leader but whoever replaces him will have their agenda. Maybe there’s hope as it was hard to see a way around apartheid in South Africa. When you chuck in the Sunni’s, Shiite’s and Kurds add oil and mix with the Christian and Muslim complications we should have peace by 3098.

In a perfect world all sides would want peace and fairness, would put aside history, forget religious complications and would be prepared to negotiate to achieve some sort of dialogue. In reality we try to obtain whatever is beneficial to the societies we belong to.

So is Bush evil for the invasion of Iraq? No he is trying to stabilize the region, obtain access to cheap resources and to neutralize a country that supported anti American terrorism. And the Sunni / Shiite leaders are doing much the same but for their own reasons. In the end maybe its just human nature after all.
