Ok well since my other contest i'm doing is a long hard and somewhat confusing contest i thought i'd do a different one as well. -hopefully more people will do this one. =[

Letter of silence

In the garden of diamond roses and emerald leaves
Where the silence is shattered by the murmuring trees,
Where the porcelain moon shines bright on the twilight sky
A lonesome girl holds a crumpled letter of goodbye…

A scarlet ribbon is folded around her ebony hair
A spider drowning within her sour tears of despair
Her weary eyes fixed on the glass reflection of the lake
Her peach mouth frozen – to kisses never again to partake…

But as her mind has stranded from truth too far away
For the words written in that letter were never read that day
And she was never to know that it ended with “I love you”
Instead of a wretched “Farwell” as she assumed it would do…

When Imagination Lingered

A glass window, with the world inside
All we have to do is pull our eyes toward it
Step forward
And shatter the glass with the palms of our hands

Step onto the ground, with our hearts beating
Deeply, loudly, in our aching chests
Silver ribbons fly throughout the air
A shining glimmer as everyone stares

This world of silence, frozen rivers
See-through twilight, and unicorns
As if from some grown up child's fantasy
After the splash of white-out

People of porcelain walk through ivory gates
The stars twinkling, shining like cut diamonds
Clasping their hands together
Exchanging letters

Though the night is cold, they do not shiver
In this world beyond the window
This world, where some child's imagination and thoughts
Froze and blended with the white out

This grown-up child
Playing with their emerald trinket...
Leaving their memories back in the window's pale grass
Ran away... in fear that they'd never come back

Shimmering, behind the glass mirror
Lie her beloved memories...
Untouched, unknown
Till her thoughts shine through the window

Porcelain Reminders

Porcelain doll with tiny pink ribbons
Clutched in the hand of an innocent girl
One piece of love she has with her
A shimmer of light in this darkened world.

Parents both too busy to notice her
This little diamond who lives in their lives
Too busy with parties, meeting with work
To see that in life she merely shivers and hides

The real world is too much for her fragile heart
She doesn't understand all of it's ways
So she holds her porcelain doll closer
And silence consumes her monotonous days

Years go by and this young girl grows up
Her emerald eyes sparking with wildfire
The doll she once carried is now just a symbol
Of a life she's risen above so much higher

And she decides to take this fragment of childhood
Throwing it to the ground shattering as glass
All glimmers into her life as a little girl
Are now pieces on the floor, shards of her past

She writes a letter of all she wants to become
All she wasn't when fear held a tighter grip
As the words flow onto the clean white paper
Twilight approaches and away time slips.

Twilight displayed through open glass,
Darkness envelopes the silence of night,
A ribbon of sound caress and by pass,
As glittering diamond thoughts are clear and bright.
A shiver pierces emerald eyes of brass,
This golden porcelain smile is cracked and white.
Through the darkness, a porcelain smile dies,
As emerald eyes and silence of sound cry.

when is the contest over, i probably wont have time untill this weekend.

it doesnt really have a strict deadline. hrm i am TOTALLY bust all next week except thursday-which i will prolly have around 2 hours for homework eating chores and coming on here. lol. so lets say next saturday. =]

Looking Out the Window

Looking through the window glass,
Watching the porcelain faces as they pass.
Everyone seems so happy, as if to shimmer,
They all have hope, you can see the glimmer.

I am emerald green with envy; it’s not fair,
I’m stuck here; they get to have fun out there.
I clasp the letter in my tear soaked arms,
As if to protect it from the watery harm.

The diamond tears roll down my face,
I know this is the end of my lonely race.
I am alone, shattered, no one knows of my pain,
No one can see the silence of my tears in the rain.
