Pawn of Love

Surrendering myself without a word
Into the unknown I fearlessly go
Flying with wings of the most graceful bird
What lies in store for me I do not know

But your own eyes are calling me nearer
With unspoken love, we both seem to share
As my heart beats, the truth becomes clearer
Hold it gently, leave me not with despair

I tremble no more as I hold your hand
A calmness issues forth throughout my soul
This feeling I wished for but never planned
Is melting me softly, taking its toll

Time could stand still, but our love would go on

The Greatest Gift Of All

I always looked in the wrong place for things
Looking for love the wrong boys would bring
Living my life the completely wrong way
Trying to move on day after day

I met you when you came suddenly into my life
You helped me deal with all my strife
We talked for hours and hours on end
I can now call you my best friend

Along the way, our seriousness grew
I knew I could put all my trust in you
You will always be there to catch me if I fall

A Poet's Pen Is False Release

A poet's pen with dexterous hand
Ink to paper often can
Woo a heart, bring on a tear
Soothe a soul or beckon fear.
A harbinger of ecstasy
Written word but fantasy.

A poet's pen cannot replace
Feelings held when face to face.
Two hearts beating skin to skin
As passions fan the fire within,
Eyes and lips light gaze to blaze
These can't be captured on a page.

A poet's pen is false release,
The ink and paper outlet brief.
Though poem penned will time withstand
It traces not a lover's hand.
As writer's splendid bounty falls
Know loneliness eclipses all.

Pieces of Empty

A darkness fell on me today
No sliver of a light appeared
Inside the heart a distant call
But its hurt voice was unclear.

The shatter of the broken light
Resting now among the stone
Scattered by the winds of change
Blown into the great unknown.

A whisper from inside the shell
Torn from the soul of constant fear
Now holds the pieces of the night
Within the darkened sphere.

Many days have come to pass
No beacon shines within the mind
The tatters of a broken soul
Unable now to cling to time.

The pieces drift among the stars
And scurries from the flooding gate
The faded moon upon the dream
Within the realm of tempered fate.

It hangs a little crooked now
Because the parts have lost their glow
A darkness falls upon the heart
Then buries deep the empty soul.

She Only Wants To Be Held {Rondeau}

Holding herself, another day has gone by,
She takes her wings; she only wants to fly.
Many tries to smile with broken frowns,
Falling continuously to the ground;
Her future in her heart, she must deny.

She's not running to be by your side,
Because there are tears finally in her eyes;
Roses cry and nightingales sound-
...She only wants to be held.

Stars gaze at a lonely sight by the sky,
As this girl sits alone tonight to die-
Nothing can catch what's fallen to the ground,
She can't pick up this sadly smiling frown.
Finally fallen, she sits tonight to cry-
...She only wants to be held.

Condescending;Heart.

With paper and a pen,
She sits down to write,
with tired eyes and weak hands,
a poem she will recite,

giving back to those she loved,
the only way she can; and,
writing words of what she feels,
that only she can understand.

disappearing in the light,
her words as sweet as she,
putting her thoughts together,
and letting her anger flea.

She will put the day behind her,
and forgot all they have said,
for writing new words to them,
helps her clear her head.

with paper and a pen,
she begins to tell a tale,
for some its slipped their minds,
but her face has grown so pale.

She writes a sympathy of words,
that know one will every see,
its just a way to say goodbye,
to whats become of the,

She puts her regrets on paper,
never wondering why,
her time has come before,

To think this whole time he was ling
What went wrong?
