Inspirational Contest

Okay. Because contests are fun, I decided to hold a contest untill Saturday, January 6, 2007. This contest will be all inspirational. I will have no rules because I'm flexbile like that. (However, one entry per person, please. I can get busy.) New or Old.

A Simple Photo...

A simple photo
Glanced at by many
Seen through the lens
Of an individual

A single glimpse
Of a snow covered tree
Standing alone
In the freezing scene

Many claimed it's portrait
But never quite the same
Each with their own perspective
Captured through their own interpretation

Some expressed a sad lonely scene
Where time froze all living creatures
Chilling winds drifted off the photo
A land of lifeless emptiness

The contrasting view stood out like a rose
Displaying the beauty of a winter wonderland
Where the freshly covered tree
Glisten and shine it's glorious coat

Yet another photo presents a welcomed invitation
To all creatures young and old
A new paradise to be found
Of fresh white powder on the ground

But this one unique shot
Of a baby left to cry
Under this same lonely tree
Melted all the snow away

One single glimpse
One single photo
One single perspective
Saved one precious life

Life is like photography
Is a matter of perspective
There is no right or wrong point of view
But there's always another angle that you may have missed

Rebirth

When I'm surrounded by the shadows,
as the sun is going down
I will put my fears into your hands,
in heart, my faith is found.
With eyes that's seen the darkness,
I now look at you with love
Forever in my loving soul,
is the hope I'm dreaming of.

The knowledge that you have,
is the knowledge I now seek
Pushed among the pages
and lost among my dreams
Giving birth to all the secrets
that I hope to find
Captured in the boundaries,
that's passed the test of time.

You look not with rejection
as the changing world revolves
Nor stumble over pieces
of a puzzle left to solve
With clear eyes you see the future,
that's here for you to tame
You've emerged a brand new person,
yet, have remained the same.

==--THE MORTAL KISS--==

Her mind was dreaming at the book she read
About a vampire's life...who was entirely mislead...
Deep in the night,she was walking down the lifeless street,
A cold wind touched her cheeks...and shook her feet

A black and soft cloak fell over her face
And in front of her he appeared...from an unknown place;
With the dark hair touching his pale skin
Fascinating all she was...until her thoughts became a sin...

The vampire she read and dreamed about so many nights,
The one that seduced and killed...with so many inner fights
Was standing right in front of her confused mind
That struggled to remain calm...u could feel all her grind

He approached her and gently touched her waist
Entirely embracing her and almost smelling her taste,
Then he gave her a cold but so passionate kiss
That made her tremble and surrounded them with mist

He watched her for hours and felt love and affection
She wanted his dark gift and all his protection...
Immortality in his arms would be either heaven or hell
A dark heaven or a winged hell...nobody could tell...

Once more he touched her smooth neck
And her straight and fragranced hair fell on her back;
The vampire decided to give her the mortal kiss
Knowing that this will make the monster within feel bliss

He revealed in front of her his sharp and white canines
That made him look like the merciless felines
He rammed his teeth in her neck and tasted her blood
Feeding his soul and body..just like a honey flood

With every beat of her heart he took more and more
Finally he stopped...but leaving her alive and with no sore
But when he made his veins bleed to feed his beloved one
A powerful hand hit him hardly...it couldn't all be done

The young vampire watched her tormenting
Seeing death in her eyes...with the demons she was fighting
He recognized his Creator,talking to him madly:
"U have betrayed our legacy!" he screamed loudly

"Please don't leave her die..make her one of us"
But as she took her last breaths,the elder made her dust
Then disappeared,while the young one cried with blood tears
Covering his face...thinking now at his painful fears

He laid there...leaving himself pray for the day's light
That slowly burned his skin..he took no fight
He hoped he'll meet her in the place he went...hell...
But she was a deceived angel..crying for him as her feathers fell..

This is actually a venting poem.. So, it's not my best. But, it's something.

Shattered Glass; Shattered Lives

This is to every family out there who has to deal with this terror everyday. Our sympathy is with you.

Lightning strikes around
As his anger blazes
She covers the baby, helpless
His violence growing in stages

Another broken plate
Another life taken
Another drunken rage
Another family forsaken

Shattered glass; Shattered lives

The covers on the bed
Hide the tragic tears
But no matter how you try
Nothing can hide the fears

The torn little boy
Wets the bed every night
Strictly from dreams
His Dad'll start another fight

"Daddy, please stop!"
Screams the broken girl
What happened to her father
Who used to be her world

The boy defends his mother
And the anger turns to him
That night he was killed
And for her, the outlook's grim

His fist is more powerful
Than even he knows
But he can't seem to stop
All the deathly blows

He takes another swig
Of the hard liquor
And he can't control it
As he beats them more

There's always a way

When the bright days seem dark and all seems lost...
When you feel alone and the sky seems covered in dust...
When there is no one to tell you that things will get better,
Try to hold on and don't start writing your letter.

When you need a hug, but there is no one to hold...
When you look in the mirror and see someone too old...
When all tries to break free end up in failure again,
Think about the love of your best friend.

When you have no friends and people don't care...
When you lose a fight and everything seems unfair...
When feeling hurt and lost in insecurity and doubt,
Have faith in yourself and cry your pain out.

It forms the shape of a Japanese lanturne.

i know this is a quadruple but i thought it would be cool to do it.
