That’s what you said; now I’m single again,
My everything has become ‘just a friend’.

There goes my everything, holding her hand,
Walking by without a care, as (alone) I stand.
Looking her in the eyes, the way you did with me,
My everything and I ‘aren’t meant to be’.

There goes my everything, with that someone new,
Not realizing how much it hurts, not having a clue.
Holding her tightly, but not too tight…
My everything is with her tonight.

There goes my everything, the one who cared,
Now walking by as if not noticing that I stare.
I know well enough to know I meant nothing…
But you will always be my everything…

mine is kinda about a lost love, because the girl im always with always breaks up with me over and over..so i wrote this to tell her that what is she going to do when im gone? and who is she going to go to when im gone? so i wrote that one day when she broke up with me.

Losing Grip

I was holding onto something
That was never really there
Like grasping for the rainbow
But only catching air

I thought believing was enough,
Faith would make it come true.
In the end, I realized
It's something you must DO.

Now, I'm left alone to ponder
All the errors that I made.
Each one stabs deep into me
And my sanity invades.

I'm losing grip with everything
And I've lost my grip on you.
Day by day I handle life
But the handle's coming unglued.

I wish that there was somebody
But wishing's what got me here.
I put hope in my feelings.
I guess my feelings weren't clear.

Watch each finger as it lets go
Of the bar it's been hanging on.
That bar of reason slowly fades
Because all my reasons went wrong.

So I'll keep losing grip
Until there's nothing left to lose.
I should have let you go then
Now, what's there left to prove?

Don't Close Your Eyes

I remember when i was a little girl on my own
He was always talking to me like nobody else around us
He always guarded me,he didn't let anbody to bring me down
I didn't fight with him even once,with me he did no fuss

Bond was between us,when we even couldn't figure out who we are
There were secret hand-holding under our desk we did
Or kissing each other afraidly after school that we dared
But we didn't know how it was to be apart,we were just a kid

Now i know clearly when i look upon his face
As he is gazing back he is seeing an older and sad smile
But he can see my tears,dropping to that hospital room's base
Doctors and nurses are coming and going with sadness while
He is closing his eyes,i mumbled the painful truth to face
'I just found you after 10 years,don't close your eyes'

Once Upon A Broken Heart

Once upon a happier time
A princess longed for a prince to call mine
She looked low and she looked high
Always searching for that special guy

Then one day, a mysterious suitor appeared
He told the princess she had nothing to fear
So she trusted him and let her heart lead the way
He took her by the hand and took her heart away

She had no idea the mistake she was making
Her love was true but he was perfect at faking
He fed her such lies, and she believed every one
He laughed at her expense, he laughed at her fun

The princess was blind to all his lies
She was mystified when she looked in his eyes
He did what he wanted, just as he planned
He took her innocence as he took her hand

Though people tried to tell her, she didn’t believe them
How could anyone tell her to leave him
No one knew who he was, or what he was doing there
But the princess didn’t mind, she thought he cared

As the nagging got worse, the princess turned a deaf ear
The suitor had told her that she would have nothing to fear
But then, in time, she would learn the truth about him
About where he was going and where he had been

One day he vanished, without a trace
There was nothing left standing in his place
Gone was everything the princess valued most
The suitor appeared to be some sort of ghost

He left her almost as suddenly as he came
She knew nothing other than his name
That’s when her fairy tale fantasy fell apart
It was all because it was built on Once Upon A Broken Heart

Those poems that are taken have a RESERVED BY or DONE BY by them. The ones who don't have them by the poems are free to take.

Contest will be done March 1st. The last day of February will be for those people who want to do a second one and then they will need to turn it in on the 3rd or 4th.

&& Very IMPORTANT!! If you cannot do the poem you reserved then please tell me to take it off the list or I WILL put you on the 'Cannot Do Contest' list. And you will not be able to do any of my other contests.
