Age Gap.....

Hi,

i'm in a bit of bother.... I've fallen for this guy and i'm pretty sure he feels the same way. we get on really well together and last night we kissed.

The only problem is he is 2 years younger than me. i know that doesn't sound alot but i'm 18 and he is 16.... should this be an issue?

Any advice would be greatfully recieved.

no, for once I'll say this age gap doesn't matter, my mum is 2/3 years older than my dad and now they're a lot older than in their teens and it seems like nothing. go for it.

i dont see a problem in that my mom is 37 and her boyfriend is almost 27. so no i dont. two years aint nothing. and like Pretty Ricky says age aint nothing but a numba.

I don't know... is it an issue for you? If it makes you uncomfortable get out now.

The only thing I can think of that might be an issue is that there's usually a bigger difference between someone who's 18 and 16 and someone who's 28 and 26 as to maturity (sometimes) and where they are in their lives.

personally i don't think it is...my boyfriend is almost 3 years older than me, and it's no biggie. ((i'm 14 and he's turning 17 in a month.)) but it's all up to you.

I'm 14 and my bf is 17. He just turned 17 in January and I'm turning 15 in June.

.. erm .. i think this is wrong.. no not you guys.. but my friend and his parents.. his mother is 40 years older than his step dad... THAT is wrong. But you are fine :)

The thing is, I find age gaps like that quite odd, even if it is only two years. I for one would never be with someone younger than me. My intention is not to put you down, though I would strongly suggest you consider Britts' post:

"chances are he is slightly less mature than a guy your age. Be prepared for that, and you'll have to REALIZE there is an age gap."

Knowing that there may be a sense of immaturity from his part (which is possible), you just have to be prepared for it.

Anyway, ERGHH. For most people in the UK: Judy is 8 years older than Richard. I know that may seem like nothing to many of you, but I find that SICK. I took a close look at them and she ACTUALLY looks like his AUNT.
