Family secrets (Tear Jerkers) by Cheryl Zach

The story is about a teenage girl called Sarah Devenport, she has leukemia and needs a bone marrow transplant, but she is adopted and doesnt know who her real family are. The story follows her on a journey to trace and meet her family before going through the process of an operation.

I like the story because it is sad but positively hopeful throughout, it is a great read

My fave character is Sarah because even though she is ill, she travels across the US alone, searching for her family and she never ever gives up.

    My Sisters Keeper- Jodi Picoult

Well a girl (Anna) sues her parents for rights over her own body. Her sister has leukmia (sp?) and she was diagnosed with it when she was a little girl. So her parents made Anna a designer baby, so she has the exact same blood type etc as her sister (Kate). So whenever kate is hospitalised her sister donates whatever is needed.
So its reached a point where Anna has to donate a kidney. And she doesnt want to.But she fears she has no choiceas parents are the one's who sign all the medical forms. Annas 13 by the way. So she sus her parents and they go to court and all this other things happen.

Loads of twists and turns throughout it. And quite supprising turn of events happen right at the end. Thats why i liked it. You cant predict the end.

My favourite charactor is probably Anna. I like Anna becuase she shows alot of charactor and guts to go and sue her parents.

EDIT: I just realised that both my and Tara-Kay's fave books are about leukmia.

    Northern Light by Jennifer Donelly

This book is about family of a father, mother , and their 3 girls and one boy. The mother dies of cancer, and the son leaves home, so it's up to the eldest daughter (Mattie) to keep things ship shape. She's very smart and she got a scholarship to some college in New york. Things gets harder and harder for her because everyone is depending on her, just bcause she's the oldest. She's 16 going on 17.

I liked this story because it had a pinch of everything, sad and depressing, mystery, murder, romance, history, and a typical everyday life of a teenage girl.

My favorite character would be Mattie, she had big dreams, yet she puts her family first... You should just read it! OMG! I loved it!
