I don't think it's right to set some one's personality, it's like setting how they think so you're telling your children "Okay, you have freedom of will, but you only have the will I let you have when I made you." Makes them sound like manufactured, not born, like they're not important, can't be unique ect. |

Actually in modern science right now, we do have the ability to change ones genes before they are born. Personality is not plausible to change due the the fact you must experience life before having one :) |

Parents usually want to have a certanty that their children will be smart and achieve highly, so i can understand why such a thing as being genetically enehanced would come into the picture (no-one wants there baby to become a serial killer), but if a parent has so much lack in faith of their parenting skills then maybe they should rethink having a child so soon.... |

I thought the thing about genetic engineering, with regards to personality, was that it wasn't about programming someone like a robot from birth, because it's experience that shapes people I've found, though of course some folk are more disposed to react to situations in a certain manner more than others. |
