My hamster keeps chewing on the bars of her cage at night. Its REALLY loud and not good for her teeth and stuff. We have a bunch of wood chews that she wont use and we cant get her to stop! HELP! |

yeah i used to breed hamsters. the only thing u can really do is get it a wheel or switch to a plastic cage that she cant chew on |

Use a hard bog biscult it tastes good and its good for the teeth AND they can gnaw on it |

I ahve two hamsters and they both do it. . .I have moved them to cages with less bars and stuff but the lil buggers still find them lol. . . It did cross my mind that you could put somehting bitter on them as a deterant (the bars not the hamsters) Like i remember stuff that was bitter to stop kids chewing their nails (so it can't be poisonous) But maybe its not such a good way. . . |

Well, set your hamster free, you bastress! Or move the cage somewhere in your house, where noise isn't an issue. Hamsters are neurotic little creatures, and I don't you'll be able to break the habit. |
