    Great topic again Jacki!
I have suffered insomnia for over 5 years now probably close to the 7 mark - sometimes I really wonder how I am still standing my sleep is that sparce and rare - When I do sleep its never for more than 4 hours...I actually use writing as an aid to help me get to sleep, along with reading. I advise against exercising it just boosts up my energy levels LoL Anyways I wonder if anyone has any good rememdies natural ones, marijuana not being included please LoL I have been a smoker for years and believe thats the real source of my problem....

I was just about to make a post on this.

Well yes, I know a lot about insomnia (It's 4am here in the UK, so I think that should tell you a little about it). It's been going on for over four months now, but I'm used to it. It feels like an alternative lifestyle.

It causes a lot of problems though. Day and night blur into one, and my concentration levels are low. I find it hard to write as well as I once did. I take sleeping pills occassionally, but I don't like the drowsiness they cause me.

I so have insomnia sometimes. This one time I was up for like 6 months straight. Well not completly, I slept like 4 hours a week during that time.

But it's been a while, and I have been sleeping a little better now. But I have to say I wrote a lot when I couldn't sleep, except it wasn't poems I was writing, it was storys, and I think I even wrote a novel.

But I have to say I do like it better when I can sleep at night.

i dont get much sleep simply cuz i just like to think!! but even when im very tired i lay in bed but i wont be able to fall asleep for about 45min-to an hour!! that happens all the time!! and with school it gets hard so sometimes i sleep during classes!! and even if i fall asleep early it feels like ive only been sleeping for 2 hours!! i HATE THAT!! the only time really i can get a real good night sleep is when i have a major migraine!! and y-day i fell asleep for about 16 hours!! i love that!!
