Self-Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson

An interesting read, emerson is a very well writ trancendentalist

I love it and it fascinates me although I find it a little idealistic! And although I really like transcendentalism, I find myself closer to the views anti-transcendalists. :)

Self-Reliance was Oh So True and utterly beautiful. It captivates the reader with the truth. It astounds me how Obvious the answers to life actually are, but how much we avoid them as to avoid ridicule as well. If we all were self-reliant, this world would be that much more peaceful in the long run. He wrote a beautiful essay, one that everyone, in my opinion, should take the time to read.
