Simple: Write a poem based off one of these titles. They're all pretty easy, so no less that 10 lines, any style of poem you want, doesn't have to rhyme, you get the point.

She swore on her life
she wouldn't love another,
but promises break.

Promises break from
the one who should
not lie to you,
nor, break the bond
of trust and love that..

Slowly fades on.
On into the
setting of the
sun above our
lonely lifeless world.

As love slips further
into society's realm,
trust slips further
into darkened pits.
And, everything is lost;

Promises break from
the one who should

I changed the title a little bit. Is that okay? If not I'll try and rewrite another poem.

Losing My Sanity

There was this young boy
About sixteen years of age
He had been tainted badly
By thirteen years of rage

It started when he was three
He was cut across his back
When he cried 'cause he was hungry
And his mom fed him a snack

A drunken father to beat him
Whenever he was correct
But his father would beat him
Because this boy had no respect

He had no friends at school
He would play games only to lose
And listen to the other boys laugh
Because he had another bruise

When he was in middle school
His teachers crushed his dreams
They clawed at his heart
And ripped out all the seams

Well this boy is now in high school
He is seventeen years old
Although he looks like he is a rebel
He always does what he is told

This boy looks at his father
This man of vanity
And I realize he is the reason
I am losing my sanity

~Bleeding Scars~

My bleeding scars flow with strawberry kisses,
Placed upon my body are these cuts of near misses,
Misses of death that i have so luckily overcome,
My body shaking with delight, so over-ally numb.

These gashes are carved deep into may arm,
This feeling i have when i cause my body self harm,
Blood rushes and pours deeply from my wrists,
From my perfect razor with its sick little twists.

These scars i have, They've only just became visible,
Before they would hide so painfully invisible,
They would be etched deep on my shattered heart,
Carved like a sculpture, Such beautiful art.

My souls been scratched, And scars have appeared,
I'm not afraid, no these bleeding scars can't be feared,
For I'm the only one who is causing myself pain,
But still blood flows from my wrist like ruby red rain.

The Emo Kid {Rondel} [Emo-tionless]

Ecstasy is not present within the emo kid,
As dancing crimes they do display, singing of their lies.
How sweet and simple is our delight; they still defy
Of our melodic kids cry out in pain; we forbid.

A masquerade of lies and blood they dance amid,
Scheming of death shattered that we crucify;
Ecstasy is not present within the emo kid,
As dancing crimes they do display, singing of their lies.

Lying of tales so mournful, so untruthful our emo certainly did,
Their lives of horror set as wondrous and mystified.
They scream out to the world as they there lie,
For their heart full of aspersion and deceit to be amid,
Ecstasy is not present within the emo kid.

Not-so-simple sadness

An aching on my heart,
In darkness it heaves along,
Sobbing in the ocean,
In the sadness of my song,

"Come drag your shoulders,
As I play with your heart,
Your nothing, no one, nobody,
And with me you'll fall apart."

Tears fall into the sea,
And bounce along the shore,
Birds cackle in delight,
And your gone forever more,

Your heart is a breaking,
The stones hit hard,
Swallow them one by one,
And the mirror is a shard,

"Here is the fountain,
Drench yourself in pain,
It'll burn your skin forever,
And your power will be drained."

Into the ocean blue,
Wade into the deep,
Hold your breath and count,
Then soon you'll be asleep.

Now we are just waiting on two poems. Please try to get them in quickly! Judging will begin the day after I have every peom in, or next sunday, whichever comes first.

The Sadness Returns

She spins about the staircase,
Silken ribbon, satin gown,
Laughing, singing, smiling,
'Till her smile becomes a frown.

Someone's said a word,
That makes her want to cry,
Doesn't matter what they've said,
For now she wants to die.

Happiness from heaven,
Sadness straight from hell,
Deep inside her eyes,
Lurks an empty well.

She cannot cry, for if she does,
Somebody will find out.
It must be kept a secret,
A smile in front of doubt.

Her troubles are a letter,
Her life is quite a play,
From the way that she's been living,
She cheats to win the game.

She's already cried her eyes out,
Soon she may walk blind,
Now when sadness returns,
It's impossible to cry.

Based On A Fairytale

We were based on a fairytale, centered around you and me.
Where everything was perfect; we were happy as can be.
We were based on a fairytale, with "Happily Ever After." written in.
Smug as we were, our love wasn't from within.
We were based on a fairytale; me the princess, you the prince-
We were both pretending that we never had been sad since.

But being based on a fairytale is really hard to do-
Living the lie with each "I Love You."
We knew it was wrong, but we wanted it right.
Walking around, masquerading in plain sight;
Our pained on smiles were getting dried out.
We both knew some knew what we were about.

Hidden behind each dolled up expression,
Were definite signs of our exasperation.
We were based on a fairytale that could never work.
This "love" was like a stab in the heart with a dirk.
So as I break away from the worn out and frail
Looking back, we weren't Based On A Fairytale
