He screamed as she cried,
Told her she should have died.
Pieces falling to the floor,
As he slammed the breaking door.

Body torn and bruised,
Her one life had been misused.
You must have wings to fly,
How could she have believed each lie.

She ran out of the room,
Her happiness ended far too soon.
Tripping in the street,
The surface bloodying her bare feet.

She tried wishing on a star,
They said they could hear you wherever you are.
But dreams all disappear,
And then walks in the fear.

She lay there on her bed,
Voices pouring through her head.
hearing him call her Sara,
Eyes wide open, bleeding mascara.

Right Side of the Bed

Oh my goodness, I didn't even hear my alarm go off
I hope my boss is not mad, and at me he would scoff
As I'm jumping in the shower, I slip on a bar of soap
Getting to work on time, I'm running out of hope

Quickly get dressed and off to work I go
Traffic is ridiculous, can it go any slow
I run to a meeting that I'm already late for
Yet I walk in nonchalantly and quietly shut the door

My boss looks over and gives me the look
I must think of an excuse to get off the hook
Angrier he gets, are you ready to give your presentation
Damn it, I forgot it at home, leading to more frustration

The meeting is adjourned since I'm not prepared
Is my job now in jeopardy, I'm left a little scared
My boss walks in my office and just gives me a stare
What is he thinking, asking him do I even dare

He gives me a puzzled look as he scans me from head to toe
I look down at myself and I finally come to know
Two different shoes and my fly hanging down
I drop in my chair with no explanation but a frown

As I relive the events to a conclusion I was led
If only I had gotten up from the right side of the bed.

I wanna try 5 vicodin with a shot of clarity =D

You Give Love A Bad Name

A song plays absently on an old radio;
the one whose lyrics, everyone knows.
The notes float high over your head-
You absently recite the words, said.

A bitter breakup, with nothing solved;
in the end, nothing was even resolved.
The girl, she's lost; the boy he's gone-
she should have known it, all along.

"I wanna save you." the lyrics go-
lying, something she wouldn't know.
Fate was kind but then turned cruel-
at the end, she felt like such a fool.

This breakup, her last, was the worst;
she wondered if maybe she was cursed.
How could this have happened again?
The pain, plainly heard, needed to end.

She walked around, she seemed, in a daze;
living her life just day by day.
Trying to understand just why he would leave;
I guess in their love, he never did believe.

The notes continue to pass you by-
all the singer keeps asking is "Why?"
But you know the reason and who's to blame-
because of the title: "You Give Love A Bad Name."

I'm trapped in a world where no one knows me
Where I'm isolated and afraid
Nobody calls when those tears envelope my cheeks
Not a single soul comes to my aid

I'd love to be a different person
Someone of whom I don't know
A person who takes pride in who they are
Somebody who knows how to grow

Instead here I am, stuck like a brick
Enclosed in the most solid wall
I have nowhere to go, I can't even move
I'm not even allowed to fall

This delicate skin is scarred so much
That it's beyond recognition
Ripping at the flesh has become my world
So strong, a never-ending addiction

I feel like I'm in a solid box
A tomb right beneath the ground
When alive I'm alone, and in death I'll be too
Unless this dark tomb is found

My Sanity On The Funeral Pyre

Thunder crashes breaking,
A faint yet known sound,
Stories told beneath the sheets,
Thus twilight beneath ground,

Lost stars in eternal search,
Amongst all of dark days,
A cry, a plea, somebody?
Yet the mentality has ways,

In this bleak awareness,
A cold yet beaten heart,
A house upon a distant hill,
And a lonely horse and cart,

Clip, clop, clip, clop,
The noise kills the silence,
The clouds dark and heavy,
As I watch them pass,

Tears of dry ache,
Unquenched soils crack,
No cloud tears here,
In thick night's black,

I stroll upon the dead,
Nothing, no one but me,
Look out to the world,
Upon the highest peak,

As I slip away from darkness,
A smell I did quite miss,
Drip, drop, drip, drop,
The rain grants the last kiss.

+ This is about the drought in Australia. One poor depressed farmer who eventually commited suicide from his undrenched pastures. And before he dies he feels the rain. 'The last kiss.' +

Hands shaking from amphetamine withdrawals

A realm of hell within our minds doth teach
Places that even the darkness cannot reach
More sinister than death in our final hours
We are given life, and all that it empowers

Society is driven by all the mass confusion
Cries for help muffled with each drawn conclusion
Diseases of our mind decided by our peers
Depression taking toll after many years

Finally reaching out, only this time for the gun

The crimson blood flows from his cerebral cavity
He never measured up to what we wanted him to be
