Even if you changed a few words, you are still infringing on the intellectual property of the real author.

Read this letter from the copyright office:

Ya, I read one of the first poems she submitted and I remember reading that poem sumwhere else, how can sum people do that shit?! Make your own work and give credit to others when its their poems. That's what I would tell her.
