I believe it can happen. I have a friend who met her husband online and married him. They have been married for 8 years, have 2 children and another on the way.

I believe it CAN happen but it is very unlikely.....

Uh..well...You can like them...meet them and then OVER TIME fall in love with them. But over the internet..nah..not really. I think it's kinda pathedic. Expecially long distance relationships. I'm talking the ones that are 2904659843 miles away and claim that htey love each other when they never seen each other and just tlak on the internet. Yeah...that's pathedic. Well me and my boyfirend met over myspace. We liked each other but never thought anything of each other. We did indeed end up meeting each other and falling madly and out of our minds in love with each other. WE've been togehter 1 year and almost 2 months. It's possible to meet your soul mate on teh internet, but I don't think you'd know until you met them. Its pretty much impossible. So yeah....You can't fall in love with someone over the internet. (( of course if you never met them)) because love is when you can't help but to be around them. You ahve to be around them, and be in their presence in order to declare or arrive to the fact that you love them. So don't tell me that you're in love with someone that you have met over the internet and someone you have never met in your life. You're pathedic. Sorry for you who do this but really...get a life.

Another thing..I think this should be int he love romance catagory.

Ya..I think it's real.. I think it's kind of sweet..I mean, although they ca see a pic or something, they are falling in love with a personality (as long as everyone's honest) as opposed to a body image..I don't know though..the internet is a dangerous place..

That boy is beautiful>>> I am assuming this was your first love..If you love someone they could be a millinon miles away..and you could still love them..be faithful..and think about them all the time..You don't have to be next to someones side to know you love them. Sure..you'ld like to be next to them, but that doesn't mean you couldn't love them.. Poeple find others online all of the time and they get married, have kids..They build a relationship through internet talk.You don't have to be face to face to find love..You'll get a better understanding of this as you get older.

I was in that position. I said that it's pathedic to say that you're in love with someone you've never met, and never talked to him, just ont e internet. Now, You can like the person and have a crush on them and that will make you want to meet them. You can want to meet them, but that doesn't mean you're in love. I know what love is, I'm in love with the greatest guy I've ever met. And we met on the internet but didn't really meet each other several months after we were talking. And just he first week we wanted to met each other. It took a while. But yes, you can FIND your soul mate, but It's rare that you'd be sure that they are your soul mate. You have to like being around the person and know what it is like to know if you love them. Personality isn't just everything either. You have to be attracted to the person. if you're not attracted to the person most likely you're not comfortable around them, and you have to love EVERYTHING about them to be in love with them. So how do you know if you love them when you have never been arond them?

That boy is beautiful>> I understand what you're saying..However..suppose you was a rather unatractive person that had never been flirted with, never had a boyfriend,never been given a compliment ..etc..Then one day you posted a pic on a dating site and someone responded..He showered you with compliments, told you you was beautiful in everyway..etc..You would fall in love with this person!! Without a doubt! And I THINK that this is the most typical type of people on this internet trying to find love...
Now..this is just my opinion..I've never 'tried' to find someone over the internet and have never found love..

My dad and my stepmom met through yahoo personals...they've been together for about two and a half years and have been married for one and a half...so I think its possible when both parties are mature enough and have the same expectations in mind

Myself on the other hand...I once met this guy from Denmark through the LPU (Linkin Park fan website) and that was fine although I only recently started talking to him again lol after like three years. And my last girlfriend I met through this site...we had a nasty breakup though...I simply prefer not to meet people online myself...I feel like it only ends badly haha.
