Sin?

Well if it was a sin then why would God make gay/lesbian people? makes no sense...

And I dont believe it's a sin

^^ Technically, according to the Bible, God gave people the right to choose what they do. That's why Adam and Eve were kicked out of Eden.

Even though I agree with your overall veiw on the subject, I had to make that distinction if you're going to bring up religion.

I highly doubt god differentiates between sins. anyone who seeks forgiveness shall be forgiven. I believe homosexuality is a sin in the bible but what I believe I don't let it effect anyone else around me. My best friend in the world is bi, she knows my belief and thats the end of it i don't harp on her and she calls me her sister till this day. I believe the individuals faith should matter only to him or her and we will all have to answer for w/e to whoever in the end.

No it's not a sin in the least and I just have to put out there that although I was raise a christian, I stopped believing in that walk of life a long time ago ^.^ Loving someone of the same sex is no more a sin then...being born with dark skin and just plain old being different ^.^ I won't hold it against anyone who disagrees with me *since a lot of my friends are christian and believe it's a sin* but all I can say is that people need to grow up and stop fighting over small things like this that don't even affect them if they don't agree with it and focus on the important things like stopping killing and hunger and abuse and children from dieing =) Sorry but if it doesn't affect you then stay out of it and stop trying to ruin lifes just because they don't agree ^.^ Sorry again if this sounds harsh, but it's just what I feel and I know very nice people who date the same sex and I have no problem with it at all =) Their still people with a soul and feelings and we need to stop judging them ^.^

Ahahahha, you must really love your friend to think she is an actual sin herself. shut up about PEOPLE BEING SINS, they are not sins, their homosexuality or bisexuality is not a SIN, HOW is it a sin? like really? are you that cruel? you should know better to believe everything that comes with your religion.

Ok, to the person above me, I'm not bashing your god or anything like that but that sounds really depressing and there is such a thing as FREE WILL ^.^ I don't like the idea that nothing I do matters because it's already decided before I'm born and theres nothing I can do about it =P Life is a choice and they aren't doing anything that they even need to be forgiven for =P
Just what I think though and everyone will keep thinking what they want and what feels right to them but this is the truth as far as I see =)

If someone is born homosexual are they really supposed to live a heterosexual life and hate themselves and have to pretend to be something they are not?

If homosexuality is a sin then I am a sinner and proud of it... I would rather live my life happy and in sin than unhappy... Nobody knows for sure what happens once you die, we will not know until we reach our end... For all we know there is no heaven and hell [except here on earth] or afterlife... I am not going to live my life unhappily on the off chance that I will not be forgiven nor will I ask for forgiveness because in my eyes as long as I am not hurting anybody else I am not doing anything wrong...

On another note for those who believe homosexuality is a sin and totally against it, there is no point in stressing about it... Life is short, there is no way anyone is going to stop people from being gay and in the end [just a few short years] You will go to your 'heaven' and we will go and have a party in 'hell'... :P :]

The people that were harrassed and abused usually turn gay, or they have some sort of disorder and have problems the rest of their lives. They look for love everywhere. if they think they can get love they will seek it. they dont have to be "turned on" by them or anything. You can look at anyone and admire their beauty. if you think about it long enough you might end up convincing yourself you are gay because of some thoughts, whether you are or not. That is my reason for thinking they arent born that way.

Lol Yeah some people do turn because of life circumstances, it does not mean every one of them do it for the same reasons. There are hetero's out there who can turn to someone of the opposite sex and not be attracted to them, it does not make them any less straight. Those are choices people make. Recognizing that you are attracted to the same sex at 7 or 8 years old seems more like a realization to me, rather than a choice.

Of course God will forgive someone if they are gay but there is no use to ask for forgiveness if you are not going to change!!! if you are gay and you have gay sex or wwhatever and then you ask god to forgive you and then you do the same thing the next day whats the point? you ask for forgiveness so you may have a chance to change if you don't want to change don't ask for forgiveness, and just live your life!
