So what do you think about Hispanics being here

I thnk hispanics have all the right to be here, the government saise they dont want them here cause they are taking all the jobs away and arent paying taxes. well to me they arent taking jobs away they work harder than most Americans, and do a better job. And paying taxes, well just have flat tax so whether your here illegal or not you pay taxes.

Well back then the tests were alot easier, and do you know what they do with these tests now? and wht people have to do? (well i do and its a bunch of shit) it cost so much more money than people think also and families that are coming here for a better life dont have the money. i thnk they should set up a program where they can stay here but still pay off the money when they can get it but also give them a certain amount of time to pay it off.

Well its not like there gonna try to learn it while there still in another country...i mean if u went to mexico i sure ur not gonna know the language 100%....and when they do come here most of them are trying to learn the language but dont know it 100% and they know the basics and also they dont go around saying hey u have to know spanish they try......and when they talk in spanish in America....well who wouldnt if you knew a different language i am sure you would speak it if you were around others who spoke that language also......its natural......and with the whole bilingual thing well some jobs require you to know more than one language cause you might travel alot to that country or go some where. the language is used more. its been that way for sooooo long so u just have to suck it up and deal with it and America is built by a bunch of different cultures. Americas to me is built around one culture.

Firstly I will say that America is made up of an amalagamation of races...Let's not forget the first race of people to call it their home were the "Native Americans"

And about the immigration matters and the language barrier...Who the hell are you to say whether someone should or shouldn't conform to one set language....

I understand that learning english would help in getting and living in that country much more easily. But it is *THEIR* choice if they want to learn it or not.

If you went to I don't know...Singapore...Fleeing from your country stricken with poverty, and the country which you desired to go (Singapore) have all the facilities and work capabilities and the banner "Freedom" stamped to it.....(Imagination mind you) You would get your ass in there, whether you crawl on four legs under the wire, because you know that would give you a better chance of survival. So don't give me the crud...You came to our country illegally therefore you have no right to stay with us.

What Bob said is true. They do take our jobs but they are better than us because they want to work, and work harder. Really it is Mexico's fault for having a horrible economy and everything. They have some pretty good futbol players. One of them from the team America, comming to my favorite MLS team Chicago Fire and he looks to be a good addition.

All i can say is i would love more hispanics to come here...

I think its great they are here, alot of americans wont even get off there butts and do anything, so the hispanics get the jobs and do the stuff we americans dont want to do(which i think is crap), i think they should be able to have good paying jobs also, i know sum do but not all of them

Im mixed and hispanic if you are going to say something bad say that you hate people comeing over because everyone is mixed now and days and i didnt come from over the border i was born here and so was my mom people comeing over the border arent always just mexican there are others to but you dont notice them because some of you people are sterotypeing i pass as white cuz of my dad and think about it if the do work better than you and are legal they have all the right to take away your job

WEll im puerto Rican i i have plenty of mexican friends too and if ya'll would take some type of minority studies you would know that when mexicans cross the boarder they are crossing onto the land that was theirs first but americanz took it and so it is just like mexicans are coming home not crossing a boarder as immigrants! I dont want to sound like im snappin but what kindof random question is this i mean we are people to thats like saying How do you feel about black people being here which is stupid and bogus cuz im black too! SORRY I JUST DONT THINK THIS DISCUSSION QUESTION IS EVEN RIGHT!

For thing i don't care about hispanics being here i am one to begin with but i'm only half my mother is white. I not need a green card so don't ask.

If -any- foreigner moved over to my country, and took a job a person who had lived here all his life could have, i wouldn't CARE if the foreigner was better at the job, he can get that job back in his own country, not take it from somebody who's entire family and generations have lived there for centuries.

Taking our jobs away?

My class and I have talked about this in World Geography while learning about different culutures. We, the americans, complain because the hispanics are taking away our jobs. They will be happy doing any kind of job and ususually go for soem of the dirty jobs WE wouldnt EVEN think of doing. So pretty much some of them are doing the dirty and nasty work that we wouldnt even consider ourselves doing. So when we complain that no one is doing the dirty jobs you aint doing it so why the hell should you complain about the hispanics doing the jobs. Trust me i know this because there are some hispanics here that are doing the SEWAGE work!! Do any of you think you wanna do that job? NO. I thought so.

It seems like you got a problem with everyone else just cuz u cant be like them. Not all blacks are druggies and trouble makers. We all had atleast one black friend or one black person that we liked as a friend, if u didnt then okay. But no one and i mean NO ONE EVER discriminates the people I'm friends with nor the people I date. (yes I do date blacks but mostly whites). And I got to say somethin to u too. You act like your just wanting trouble so if you have a problem with other races (all of them) then u must be pretty messed up. Sterotyping. Yeah we all do that but I found out dont even say something until you actually know its true. And not all blacks do drugs and are trouble makers so that "druggies" & "trouble makers" dont' even count for more then a half of blacks. Naw...u didnt afend me (the world...) its all true....well thats true most of the jobs that hispanics or other people take are jobs that alot americans wont even do....and another thing that is true is America was actually mexico well atleast some of it....and if u think abut it Indians are sumwhat part of the mexican connection and like everyone knows America took over the Indians land even when they were here first. i'm sorry i mean america is nice compared to other countrys but shit America is f***** up big time. and i am very sorry if that offended any one at all.

The more the merrier. Really. I don't know why there's such a demand for them to go back to their own country, but then they're not exactly clamoring for the jobs I personally want, so there's probably bias there. There are so many Americans that don't appreciate all that this country does and has done for them, and so many immigrants who do. It would be cool to see a policy where for every disenfranchised citizen, an illegal immigrant could be given citizenship instead. But that borders too much on individual rights, freedom of speech, etc. Sounds a bit Machiavellian, no? So I hope no one actually takes that policy seriously.
