Belly dancing, also called "the dance of the east", was primarily used for weddings. It is now used at mardi gras, in music videos (im sure people have seen Shakiras versions) and in many other not-so-traditional settings. |

Hehe..our country is keen on belly dancing..Look up Asena,Tanyeli...These are just well knowns..as millions unknown...And I'm good at it..But I like breakdance, tango, flamenco better...And I don't like belly dancing costume..It's too inapproaite in my opinion..When you want to belly dance with its costume somewhere...the guys would just drools and try to spank or touch you..So it's a little disgusting too |

Basically its just moving your lower body (abs, legs, etc.) but there is a lot more to it. There are a bunch of really different moves, and each one is different, although many can look the same. |

Belly Dancing has become such a fad in so little time. I would say the Eygptians were the first to actually start the fad, morely it was used for weddings and it was used as to entice the menfolk...It was used in Bachelor Parties (yes they had bachelor parties)... |
