I've Had Personal Experiences Supernaturally So I Have No Other Choice But To Believe, And Being Christian I'm Automatically Expected To Acknowledge The Fact That Yes There Are Things That Go Bump In The Night That Just Might Be a Spirit....Whether It Be Good Or Bad =) =)

    Cheers

I believe, but I personally haven't ever seen something supernatural. I listened to very convincing stories from other people.

No I don't. People rarely take the time to really try and examine what seeing ghosts means to them, they just attribute strange visuals at night with dead people.

It's the same principle that lets spiritualists pretend they are talking to dead relatives for you, or Reiki healers make you feel things...it's all about auto suggestion and your mind trying to make sense of unusual experiences.

By God we love to name things don't we.

    I am not a sceptic, I'm a realist.

Sherry, when I said that we love to name things, I wasn't implying that this is wrong, as we need to give titles to things to that we can reference them easily.

What I don't like is people having some kind of experience, which they don't understand, and just slapping the ghost title on it, without any kind of explanation or research. It's just lazy and furthers the ridiculous notion that ghosts are real, which is not true or it would have been proven, and it never has, not once, even with thousands of highly intelligent parapsychologists trying their hardest to prove such things the world over.

The classic story used to justify ghosts goes something like this.

A person is in bed, usually in a house they do not normally sleep in. They do to bed and wake up in the middle of the night and either see, hear or feel something strange. Maybe a strong pressure on their chest, or a strange person shaped light in the corner, or they hear someone speaking. You never hear people telling these tales say they checked out visual or auditory hullucinations, or the mysteries of sleep, waking dreams, paralysis etc...it's just attributed to ghosts, which they know nothing about.

It's very lazy and it gets on my manboobs.

I'm buddies with the guys and girls from the Edinburgh Koestler Parapsychology department, so I've done quite a bit of reading on this subject and had several strange experiences of my own...like i said, I'm not a sceptic by default...just a littl bit more inclined to question things.
