Qestion abt rapist.

Why do they hav to rape others? if they so want can't they jsut go to prostitues? instad of distroying other's life?

Yeh williams right on this. it's all about the power and control they have over there victim. that is why they will always choose someone who is either (smallar, younger, has a mental or physical disability, elderly, etc) it may also be to prove themselves or that may just be the way they receieve sexual gratification. no one will ever really know the answer. most rapists will have slightly differing reasons. however i do not believe that majority of the are insane (by the actual meaning)

Rape is complicated, and very few people really want to think about it's details enough to come to any understanding.

For example, is it really rape if a young woman who is 15 has sex with a man older than her, say 20. I think not, but the law says differently in many cases.

In a stable relationship, forceful sex that borders on rape can be incredibly arousing and totally acceptable.

Clearly, a total stranger sexually attacking anyone and forcing them into any kind of sexual act is wrong. But there are those that say that it's in our nature, from our savage animal ancestry, where rape amongst primates is very common...as is incest.

I think we all know that if we had no inhibitions or social conditioning, then having forceful sex with anyone who took our fancy might come quite naturally to us. Thankfully though, most of us are socialized to not act that way.

There is also the huge area of how a persons childhood and teenage years effect their view of sex, but I can't be bothered getting into that.

Some rapists actually think the women want it sometimes. there's all different types. for some necrophilia is sexual pleasure, power, etc etc. But some of them think they're enjoying it or want them to impregnate them, and go for specific types of people. watch criminal minds or whatever, look it up.

I don't think it has to do with our "nature". Maybe more so to do with the lack of self-control? It definitly has to do with power most of the time.

I think it's sick and repulsive and they're the type of people I hate esp child preditors. It makes me sick to my stomach.

As far as a 15yr old and 20yr old having sex... I think it's against the law becuase in some cases the child lie out of fear that it was consentual sex. And the law see it as the child is young and don't know any better and the adult should know better and has a way of subtlely take advantage of the child. Statitory rape.

All types of sexual rape or abuse just disgusts me.

In most states there is an age of consent ,usually 16.Even if she verbally agrees she is not legally able to give cosent. I think rape is definately not about sex but about control,it may be the only way that person does not feel inferior,when they are in physical control of another person.

rape really is defined when someone (male or female) sexually penetrates someone else (male or female) without consent.
and sometimes they say yes because they are too scared of the consquences this however can still be considered rape as they only consented under duress and did not mentally consent

^I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. More than thankfully, damnit. If 'forceful sex' as you call it, instead of using the actualy term RAPE, was acceptable...I can't even begin to fathom how many old, greasy, fat slobs would have had their penises in me before I turned 12.

You know why this would never be acceptable? Because if there were no laws, and someone attempted to have sex with me without my permission, you better believe I would be carrying a friggin' blow torch to smoke that sucka.

there's a reason why your fellow student or co-qorker doesn't walk in and blow your brains out. rapists don't listen to that reason and take in thier own
