I need your help... please!

Hi

I have a dog, he's like my child - he's so adorable. Anyway... my husband wants him to mate with a female so they can have puppies... BUT he's a virgin and I dont want him to feel pressured into it especially since there might be the PERFECTLY matched bitch out there for him... what if we force him into this and he never gets to fall in love with that bitch?

Im not sure what to do - a lot of people think "he's just a dog" but to me its like sending my child off into an arranged marriage.

What should I do??

(PS - moderators, Im not swearing in this instance - when I say bitch Im referring to an actual female dog... just so you know... seriously that is the meaning - just look it up in www.dictionary.com if you dont believe me)

But Im just worried that if I leave them together for long enough and they "consummate" their friendship it could be based purely on the need to impress me as his owner - thinking that its just what I want. I dont want to put him under that sort of pressure.

I understand how you care about your dog but dog is an animal which means if he ever find a female dog then he will just hang with her and they will like each other...they are not like us thinking "is he/she the one"

Mo, there comes a time in every puppies life when he grows older and he feels he must face the world. go to puppy school, get a puppy job, and then have a puppy family, it's the way of puppy nature. one minute he's in his puppy jammies, the next he's in his puupy suit, I LIKE PUPPIES!

There's no need to treat me like an imbecile... Just cause I love my dog and am concerned about his welfare and the distraction this could place on his progress in life. Dogs have feelings too you know. Dogs are intelligent creatures.
