Dream i had

I had a dream last night where a man of high ranking in my life, sort of a superior if you will, anyway he gave me a task he wanted done

he wanted me to pick someone who could do it and i was to be the leader of the operation making sure it would be done and done right.

well the whole thing didn't get done so this man calls me to his office again and asks me whahappened. i tell him and he removes me from any possibility of permanent leadership because i botched this assignment for not making sure everything went as planned

i think i learned something from this dream but wanted to know your opinions on dreams

are they just subconscious thoughts talking or are they messages?

They could be both. I think they are, cos sometimes i'll have totally stupid dreams, other times i'll have really inspiring dreams.
Yet at times, i'll dream about my day that i just had.
I think it your subconcious talking to you. either just thinking randomly or channeling your deepest thoughts

Then i had another dream a few weeks back where someone i know had a black beast on his back tearing him apart but he didn't even notice. he just kept doing what he was doing

People take there dreams far to seriously... I just enjoy them and wake up. I just look at it as tripping on acid... without the acid.

I believe dreams tell a lot about what is going on in the subconcious mind,our fears our hopes, our needs(especially the unfullfilled ones)I think images in our dreams represent certain things like the beast on his back could symbolize a great burden that he carries but still functions in spite of. there are books on interpreting dreams,personally its kind of a hobby to figure out what they mean.
