Natural sugar, tastes so sweet
Set upon my rosy lips
Blurring the edges of my thoughts
Red, red wine

Crystal glass with lipstick stains
Smooth delight, pure ecstasy
Seeing you with time well bought
Red, red wine

Love filled whispers, tingling flesh
Sighing minds, fantasies met
Images carved in gleaming stone
Red, red wine

Fingers laced, bodies near
Happiness we've longed to share
We will never be alone
Red, red wine

I'm blue please

I'm Blue

A little gasp escapes my lips
as the green-yellow grass touches my fingertips
my tongue engulfed in what seems violet fire
how could it be possible for me to rise any higher?

Your earthy smell, like crystal water
the ripple that's my heart gets hotter
my skin aflame, with memories
cooled off by the shade of forgiving trees.

A meadow of your mind, I'm in
the breeze is every touch of your skin
and though I stumble, I still run
for birds forever flock to the sun.

The rays of light carrying me
shimmering with happiness for I'm finally free
but even perfection has it's faults
my walls collapse with a shuddering halt.

I'm broken, hitting the cold concrete
a violent shade of azure is defeat
these tears rolling down my face now blue
as I stand alone, for there was never you.

Devil With The Blue Dress On

Manicured fingers and French-tipped toes,
Board straight hair and an artificial nose.
Purple eye shadow and liquid black liner,
60 pairs of shoes and all of them designer.
Pounds of pale concealer and lip gloss out the @$$,
Thinking she's the princess with the tiny shoes of glass.

She's just the type of girl to kiss [your] boyfriend on [your] lawn,
She's nothing but the devil with a blue dress on.

Strutting down the halls in her bright blue mini skirt,
Wearing something much to small to even call a shirt.
Gucci black stillhetos and an bust the size of cars,
She doesn't wanna listen, just talk about the stars.
Detecting moral actions? On the radar, not a blip.
They're wrapped around her finger as she cracks her little whip.

She's just the type of girl to kiss [your] boyfriend on [your] lawn,
She's nothing but the devil with a blue dress on.

Brain the size of cashews with an ego big as hell,
I was quite excited when the Queen of Drama fell.
She held her head so high, and we'd kill to see her fall,
And when we saw the tail, the Devil's female after all.
And Satan's fear is karma, and karma, she's my girl.
I always knew us losers would go on to rule the world.

She was just the type of girl to kiss [your] boyfriend on [your] lawn,
She was nothing but the devil with the bluest dresses on.

There's some stellar light under my eyelids
quivering and making the shades so bright
I'm starting to walk away from insanity of fallacies
insatiably pondering waves of inner temptations.

Oh, so lost (mistakes repeated under ebbs and tides)
so scared and shattered- back in black,
touched by the allurements of gorgeous dark angels
and heretic thoughts that slipped from the demon's lips.

There's unexplainable stupor inside the head,
twirling and making the darkness so frail.
I'm starting to fly away from toxic emeralds
avidly drinking from the well of inner peace.

Oh, so lost (mistakes repeated under the frozen moonlight)
so sad and tattered- back in black,
hands of obscurity forced me to dance twisted tango
and maledict symphonies wrapped around the soul.

There's some happiness etched on my palms,
illuminating the paths through the deepest ebony.

Ceramic hearts, they softly cry;
From the pain they endure,
A crack: from every good-bye --
Nit-picking at the pure.
Paint it black now, to match your heart,
Whisper your lies, tear me apart;

Building this obscene sight.

The Trijan Refrain, created by Jan Turner, consists of three 9-line stanzas, for a total of 27 lines. Line 1 is the same in all three stanzas. The first four syllables of line 5 in each stanza are repeated as the double-refrain for lines 7 and 8. The Trijan Refrain is a rhyming poem with a set meter and rhyme scheme as follows:
Rhyme scheme: a/b/a/b/c/c/d,d refrain of first 4 words of line five /c
Meter: 8/6/8/6/8/8/4,4 refrain/8

Pale Blue eyes

They glowed each time she smiled,
They whispered by the fire,
Lost behind her soulful gaze,
Burning with desire.

She was your siren on the rocks,
Destined to strike land,
No more floating on the clouds,
Alone you've come to stand.

You took for granted everything,
She ever gave to you,
Now cursed to hold the memory,
Of eyes so pale and blue.
