Best Friend Contest

Ok guys I want a poem about how you met your best friend.
There a no rules.

Diamond Grace

Tearing down these walls I've built,
Never scared to climb inside,
You snuck up on my hiding heart,
And gave me so much pride.

A better friend, I could not find,
You take away all doubt,
That there is good out in the world,
And love does not burn out.

I won't forget the day we met,
Lost amid the crowd,
The chaos of our younger years,
Everything we vowed.

No longer just some outcasts,
Freaks that roamed the halls,
No longer lost in lonely,
Catching sadness as it falls.

A diamond grace within the sand,
That time cannot wear down,
A jewel within my crown of thorns,
My comfort when I drown.

I have a poem i wrote yesterday for a friend, but i'm not sure it fits the criteria. does the poem have to be specifically about how you met or can it be about the friendship in general?

All right, count me in. Does it have to rhyme?

It can be about the friendship.
And no it does not have to rhyme.

My Other Half

You have no idea how much our friendship means to me -
I didn't know where I was going or what there was going to be.
Words cannot express how much I truly care;
I thank you for all the times that you have been there.
Our long talks and phone calls, lasting half the night,
You always know how to make everything alright.
Whether it's arguing about words, to laughing over crayons,
I know I always have your shoulder to lay on.
You've picked me up when times were tough,
When I wanted to quit and enough was enough.
You told me to stay strong and you helped me move on.
I stopped searching for a best friend; he was in you all along.
I found the other half of me and I found it there in you,
Don't ask me how it got there and don't ask me what to do.
Thank you for having such trust in me;
I'll treasure each moment and hold them closely.
No matter what I say, and no matter what I do,
There will never be a more true friend then you.

BEST FRIENDS

I remember as if it was yesterday
We were sitting down
Next to each other in class
We started talking for a weird reason
Or as you say, "Let's Blame It On Ja' Rule"
Yes, that's right
We were fighting to see who liked him more
Of course it was a stupid reason to fight
But look at us now
Now we're the best of friends
Nobody's friendships compare to the friendship
That you and I have
I'm glad to have you there
And remember that I'll always be there girl
Don't you ever forget that ok
I love you
And will have you my heart forever

Credit Card and Rockin' Hard

Saturday shopping spree,
Mommy's missing money.
Buy it 'cause its hot,
Though it does fit kind of funny.

Walk and wander, wait and wait,
Time tick-tock, tick-tock's,
But I don't see behind me,
The girl with amber locks.

Credit card comes crashing in,
Surprising, stunning, smooth,
Her random hand slides down my butt,
And instantly I move.

"Holy Hell, ha, ha, ha, ha!
Jesus, you jump high!"
I really cant explain it,
But the girl just made me smile.

Told our titles, took a trek,
Walked, talked, wandered, waited,
And since then, we've been best friends,
And no one has debated.

From ice cream sundaes, tv dinners,
To midnight spill-all sessions,
We went from strangers in the mall,
To giving kissing lessons!

Crazy meeting, crazy lives,
We're nothing short of strange,
But we don't care what people think,
We're never going to change!

There must be truth to what they say,
This quote I will recite,
We don't know who said it,
But it's oh so very right!:

"They're like, 'Dang, those girls are always together,'
That's right, suckers, 'cause we're best friends forever!"

You help me through my day whether good or bad
When I am upset you are there to hug me
And talk about my problems

I can be really rude, mean, stubborn and annoying
But you are still there no matter what I do
I have some terrible things and I know that

They are so fun even though they weren't always right
