Lmao, this isn't getting people to give more usefull comments, if you just look at who they comment and who's on their fav list ,you can see this is "won" by having friends, and of course , who doens't praise a friend if it can get them to "win" :p

^actually I had a contest that was up last week....so handed out tons of comments....they had to be good they were the prizes....lol....

I give little thought to this challenge.other than it has made me more aware of the kind of comments I leave....

I don't have any mates on here lol Deb got a lot of praises from me because she left a lot of great comments on my work, along with Delirium. I do not praise one liners, friend or not, leave a real comment or don't expect to be praised for it.

of course , that's true, my point simply was that it's always friends reading friends and comenting and praising friends, instead of reading and comenting other peoples work

In the first week of this challenge, one of the specifications was that you could only praise one comment left on your own poems to every 4 left on someone else's poems.

This was done to get people to think about looking at comments people leave on other's poems.

also, just because someone is on a faves list doesn't mean they are "friends" just that they want to keep track of each others poems.

And yes, as was mentioned, the comments left were well thoughtout and meaningful. If people were praising bad (or thoughtless) comments, then the praise would not get accepted by the mods.

Yeah, I'll be looking just like them in fifty odd years, except wrinklier. I do hope people will still smile back at me.

Because the site went down on Thursday and came back on Thursday, The 3rd contest will be announced on Monday, Dec 17.

Currently they do nothing official. Janis intended to have a critic of the month award.

So right now, the mods are tallying the praises, and the top few are recognized in this forum.
