There's a Mountain Between Us

Scarlet sensation and shadowed passion
torture senses for rights and wrongs,
bitter vindication within consolation
built up these mute cravings;

Perfection within your complexion
turned around my bleak direction,
within one drip of bloody words
waving connection to affection,
admiration to your reflection.

Persuade my feverish absurdity
in intricate fractures
of manufactures
inside the heart of wretched failure.

I used to live within inky refraction of your grin
disguising rhymes of hypnotizing climes
that changed between infra-red discussions,
...used to play with thoughts on delay,
with abstract clay notes that painfully replay.

I can't lean on emotions too serene;
temptation daze the mind trapped in a maze,
crashing the whole world in front of azure gaze.

This pain in my heart is hurting,
Even more than the night before.
Everything in this world doesn't matter anymore,
Since you started hurting me like this.

You've left these scratches on my face,
And buises all over my body.
Once again you've made me yours,
Even if I didn't wanted it this way.

After you finish with your daily routine,
You beg me not to say a thing.
You don't want me to ruin your perfect life,

Every morning when I wake up,
I see you sleeping by my side.
Everytime I wake up,
I fear that you're not by my side.

You've made me so happy these days,

But these past couple of days,
Just don't feel so right.

Everyday when you leave to work,
I fear of you not coming back.
Keeping this relationship good is a lot of work,
I don't ever want to go back.

A pact, a promise, you swore as I cried
Kissed me on the cheek, and said your goodbyes
I buttoned your shirt, you held me tight
Bitter departure, a rose's thorn in my side

Called out to war, to battle with the foe
A young man leaves another young widow
Lost in confusion, I longed to know
How and where you were, when, at last, would you be home?

By the letterbox, I waited in thought
Head spinning and sad, crying while you fought
Helplessly old memories I sought
Two letters from you, my final, patient reward.

Both in your handwriting, glee tore straight through
All my supressed fear, I was fine, she was too
I tore apart the first to read the word from you
'Missing you both dearly, I'll be home soon it's true.'

The second letter, I didn't want to fray
Another from you, happiness I pray
'My sweetheart, my love, I must carefully say
if this letter is yours, I've quietly passed away.'

This can't be true, you're not God's, you are mine
I tore through the house, in anger sublime
You broke a promise, but soon we'll be fine

I think he thinks I still love him,
If he does he'll have to stop and think.
I never really loved him in the first place,
Our hearts were never truly in sync.

Hearing his voice on the phone again,
Made me realise I'd done the right thing.
He never treated me with care or respect,
Or brought me the joy love should bring.

He hurt me one time too many,
And he laughed when he made me cry.
He made my self-confidence wither,
And every word he spoke was a lie.
