Author Kara O'Neil is a 29 year old San Francisco Bay Area woman who survived a series of disturbing domestic violence assaults by her ex-boyfriend, ending in a final attack by him and two of his friends, shortly after they broke up, in which she was beaten, suffocated, tortured, and then left alone in Vallejo, California. She now runs RealityofDV.com, and speaks to the public to educate people on the reality of a cowardly, heinous crime that devestates 25% of American women's lives.
