Nineveh

"Nineveh"

Nineveh, Nineveh
What have you done?
all kinds of wickedness
and Evil for fun....

Jonah, Jonah
Respond to my word.
swallowed by Loch Ness
attempting to run...

But Nineveh's repentance
was not sincere
The Lord's own presence
they did not even fear....

Oracles and Visions
God's wrath and vengeance!
Justice and punishment
The fore-coming doom.

Nineveh, Nineveh
What have you done?
all kinds of wickedness
and Evil for fun....

The prophet Nahum
roars out your fate
scene so gruesome
look away unentertained.

Murderous blood
stains the streets
pathologic lies
pretentious right from wrong.

wiped out
like the flood
pale faces melt
no more prideful cries

Nineveh, Nineveh
What have you done?
all kinds of wickedness
and Evil for fun....
Woe to the vast city of plunder
enslaved like the lust of a harlot
repaid corpses beyond number
Invaders shall dash to pieces your infants

Nineveh, Nineveh
What have you done?
Thee days of vomit
to blot out the sun.....
