Yearning

by MelodramaticSuffering   May 6, 2015

I can't look you in the eyes.
They are as cold as I am inside.
So afraid to look at myself.
It isn't the same.
Nothing can compare.
Compare to the feeling of darkness that surrounds my every thought.

That warm feeling of the sun on my skin.
How I yearn for it to sink deeply.
Reach my soul.
Fill it with passion and raw love.
Show me truth in light.

I want to glow like rays through a pane.
Someday.
I will be painless.
I will not be agonized with sorrow.
I will be free and light.

Someday I will fly.
Find myself.
Find a place where I belong.
Nothing will make me frightened.
I can live with my heart open.

No burning of bridges.
No burning tears on my eyes.
No torturing scorching thoughts.

A place where the past is buried so far down,
That nothing really matters.
To me.
To her.
To him.
To them.

Where new is good.
Where minds are pure.
Where hearts are gold.
Where life is wonderful.
