Home No Home

HOME:
I am so comfy,
around the toasty fire,
I have nice stoves and nice ovens,
that's what they desire.
I have electrical wires,
I am sure not a lier.
I keep people happy,
I don't make them a cryer.

With roofs over my head,
and walls on the sides,
for I am a helper,
and I am their guide.
I keep them safe,
I keep them hot,
and if they do travel,
they will miss me a lot.

NO HOME: For I am the woods, and the grass and the trees,
I have things in some nests, like hornets and bees.
Males live in my caves, and females do too,
for them, it is normal, not safe and not new.
I don't count as a home, or a place to live in,
I am simply and old place, where no one will then win.
Please avoid me, and go get a job,
but don't be a bad kid, and don't go and rob.

HOME: Yes, I feel guilty, for the ones with no homes,
but I care for my family, I don't leave them alone.
I will pray for the homeless, each day and each night,
I wish you had a home, and you didn't have to fight.
Please, just be careful, be safe and be kind,
Watch out for your thoughts, and watch out for your mind.
Live life your way, be free and go rome,
find your own little place, that you can call HOME.
