Losing You

Somebody please tell me this is all a dream
From the moment that I found out you were gone
I did everything possible not to accept it
Lived everyday like nothing happened
Thinking one day you'll walk through the door
Telling me it was just a dream
But it never happened
You said you'd never leave me
But I find myself alone
Everyday I look over my shoulders
Hoping you'd be there
Can't force this smile anymore
It's getting harder to control
Don't know if everything will one day be ok
People always said that time makes it easier
And that one day my heart will no longer bare the pain
But I'm still waiting for the easy part to begin.

    I know how this feels. and I've been stuck feeling this way for a real long time. heh. but this poem was nice. it's not long but you can feel how much feelings are hurt when you read it. good stuff =)

    Very good poem. i enjoyed it.

    um, in this line "I did everything possible not to except it" it should be accept not except. sorry not trying to seem anal or whatever, but the smallest things can break a poem. i kind of stumbled over it when i saw the error, it threw the flow off.

    still though, a 5 from me. i loved it.

    This is a very sad and heart felt poem it tells a sad story that I can relate to I lost someone I loved very much last month and I know how you feel here great work keep them coming 5/5
